1) I added a poll, that's what those things are for ya know ;)
2) From everything I've read (which is a lot), Marquette could do worse than Hiring Buzz. Even some of the "Name" coaches people wanted had me less enthused than Buzz. Do I think Buzz will be better than Crean? I don't know. I do think he'll do better than Dukiet and Deane, so I guess, yes, I "agree" with it.
There was a poll on MUScoop the other day asking if people would prefer a good recruiter, or X's and O's guy (if we had to have one or the other). The majority answer - recruiter. Looks like we got that. Only time will tell if we made the right decision.
Here's the rub. We could have hired Roy Williams and I'd be happy, but just as unsure whether he was the right guy for Marquette.

If it's Yes or No, I will say Yes. If it's Buzz or Tony Bennett, I'd say Tony Bennett. If it's Buzz or low-major coach that got won some games but has never recruited a Big East calibur player, I'll take my chances with Buzz.

Yes. I am sure our administration will hire the best candidate for the job. I trust them with whatever decision and believe they know more about finding a replacement and hiring one than message board posters, no offense to anyone.

What I'm seeing here is that the more Niv is upset about the coaching hire, the better it turns out for MU. Judging by his latest comments, MU should be in the Final Four next year.
