money and throwing it at the school. All that does is completely distort the market. It is foolish and makes OSU seem totally desparate IMO.
Boone gave them a lot of money and the school asked him to manage it. I think he has close to 100% return on this money. Call it stupid or whatever you want.

So you don't think throwing around that kind of money is good for everyone?
I agree it distorts the market but foolish and desperate are decided by competitors and recruits. They will look like geniuses if they accomplish something with a new coach. We have seen how much winning programs affect the amount of applications and Boone is no dummy. There are a lot of people who would say programs like MU and Gonzaga distort the market.
