Will you guys please read Buzz Williams' bio and point out the part that screams "BIG EAST head coach?"

True, PRN.

But he has the inside track because he knows our players and the incoming recruits.
THAT counts for something.

Some thoughts:
- Interesting Lowery and Brownell are both Evansville, IN products. Maybe some inside recruiting wars with Crean! LOL!
- Lowery is young but seems very successful in his early career.
- Brownell is at the right age, but hasn't stayed with a program for a very long time. Yet, has seen success.
- McKillop? Yeah right. He's much older (but experienced), but he'll probably take his kid (assistant) with him and the other kid (Davidson player), too.

Brownell is a Wainwright protoge, btw.  No one has showed me he can recruit in the BE.  He is going up against the likes of UWM right now.

Indeed, with Buzz .. One can safely assume there isn't a single team from any of the 4-5 top conferences who are interested in Buzz as their HC.

Besides TCU, has Buzz's name been mentioned for ANY other HC job?

The bottom line is Buzz would not even be considered for this job if you just looked at his resume. I think the reason people are pissed is that if they hire him, it's solely on the premise that he MIGHT retain some of the recruits. That is a sorry ass reason for hiring someone.

I'm sure that if I search the Pitt boards in 2003 I would have found something like this ....

Indeed, with Jamie.. One can safely assume there isn't a single team from any of the 4-5 top conferences who are interested in Jamie as their HC.

I'd disagree with that as Dixon has proved what he can do since his arrival at PITT.  As a coach I would like him at Marquette over the names we are looking at if it wasn't for the fact he may leave after a few years.  He wouldn't come though as it would be a lateral move I believe.
