I am willing to bet Crean knew Gordon was jumping ship before he went. Actually I'm willing to bet that most of the college basketball world knew he was going to the NBA. No real surprise.

So, it is official.  TC is now the coach of the 5th best team in Indiana.  He better get moving before those sanctions in June.

The thing that sealed it was probably when in their 1st meeting TC dropped the name Wade 17 times in 10 minutes and fit in 4 Travis' and 6 Steves.

The last thing big-time people want from you is to be compared to another big-time person.  Part of what makes them great is they think they're the best.  I have always thought TC's name dropping of Wade incessantly probably cost him some top guys (Iman).

I heard Gordon was dead set on staying at IU, until they named TC head coach.

Thats too bad.  My sympathies go out to Crean.

I agree though that Crean had to have known he was gone before he took the job.

I suspect most of the college basketball world knew Gordon was turning pro at the end of the season after he averaged 26.6 ppg in his first seven college games.

I think he was being sarcastic

Gordon was gone even if sampson was back

He's a lottery pick as a freshman, his stock can only drop so he is gone
