To get the OK to hire a VERY strong willed head coach who graduates his players, wins (most all time), speaks his mind, and occasionally lays his hands on his players (I'm the product of 16 years Catholic education, 8 years with the Jesuits, and more than once they have laid their hands on me, which I deserved). New AD getting the approval to hire....THE GENERAL !!!
Whew! With that heading I thought this was gonna be another bring back "Warriors" thread.
I think that as men get older, and especially once great men, they tend to become a caricature of what it is they think made them great in the first place. I think that Knight has reached that point in his life and he's now more about discipline and his system than he is about finding good players and maximizing their potential. Although I'm sure he'd appreciate the irony of Indiana's greatest basketball coach coming to Marquette.
A big HELL NO to Knight. He's way past his prime, has ZERO interest in recruiting and would stay 2-3 years max. Next.
Get serious. No Knight, no way. The game has passed that man by, for sure.
How is the food in McCormick these days, anyways?
;)
Knight and Brown as co-head coaches with Buzz as the head recruiter and head coach in waiting !!!!!!! ;)
I beleive, when he left Texas Tech, The General left the battlefield for good.
We need to keep looking....
