Not saying he's coming here or anything, but, says who?
Montgomery was never a serious option here. I couldn't imagine him leaving that state to come to Milwaukee. He makes all the sense in the world there.
Might this mean Dixon could be sticking around Pitt for a while then? I don't think Cal, Stanford, UCLA, or USC will be opening anytime soon. Perhaps Floyd might jump to LSU, but it sounds like it Travis Ford's to lose.
In that case, perhaps Miller comes back into play a little more than we've been hearing in the last 24 hours.

Never felt we had a shot at Bennett. It is just not the right time for him to leave WSU. Montgomery is not a BE guy. Miller is more of a puzzle. I am suprised hw would not consider stepping up to BE.
Now it gets tricky for MU. If we can't get a tier 1 guy, do we keep Buzz for continuity?
Sean Miller is not coming to Marquette, he has a great thing going at Xavier. He's also publicly said he's staying at Xavier.
The only thing I have heard Miller say is with a reporter present and with the AD present. Of course you are not going to express interest in a position at that point. On top of that, keep in mind that the reporter did not "quote" Miller.
It is eerily quiet over there. Is it more likely than not that we land Miller? Not at all. But, is there a chance we could still land him? I think so.

Then you've seen something I haven't, because there hasn't been a peep out of Cinicnatti since Crean left. I'd say the chances are very low, but I am curious when he said this.
Lost in all this is what happens if Oklahoma State buys Self and the KU job opens up. Is Miller a consideration for that job? If he is, does he wait. If he is not, does he wait to see what other opening is available?
Miller is probably first in line for the next glamour job. Marquette will never be a glamour job.

Boy, I hadn't seen Bill Self's non-denial denial until just now. I'd still be surprised if he left Kansas, but if they take the gaspipe this weekend, I wonder if the great recruiter, bad coach label that will get worse, coupled with the truckload of money won't be too much for him to ignore. Perhaps that would explain the crickets chirping in Cincinnati.
Guys, get off the crack, Miller is not coming here. PERIOD.
Or Bennett. I wouldn't want Bennett anyway, not a fan of final scores in the 40s.
I agree with you lab. I also wonder if there would be any clamoring for Bennett at all if he wasn't from Wisconsin.
I think Navin hit on a good point, I'd kinda love to see Kansas get destroyed by Carolina on Saturday, just to see the meltdown that happens at KU. I have a friend who went to KU, and this game against Roy on Saturday night is like armageddon.
If Kansas takes it on the chin, and Boone places a phone call, crazy things might start to happen (a la 2003).
