Do you think Strong and the others will still put up the big bucks??
As I recall Strong was more of a TC fan than MU fan. He also gave a boat load of cash throughout the past 9 years.
I'd be interested if he and other 'Crean guys' will still step up to the plate.
Haven't heard anything related to boosters; but either way the money will be there. When Crean was approached by another school with a generous offer after the final four in 2003 the university considered him lost because of how lucrative the offer was, but to no dismay the boosters stepped up and got him to stay (i.e. they told cords to pay crean whatever it would take to get him to stay) I think with our current situation we are in a position to get a great coach; we pay incredible money, have fantastic facilities and a deeply loyal fan base. The current enigma is how to keep the current recruits from taking off and maintain the momentum the program had before crean left. That will be difficult.
jumping guy was quoted in one of the papers as being blind-sided.
