I am not a frequent poster but I've got to get this out.
The more I think about this the more I'm glad he is gone.
1. Classless exit and poorest possible timing
2. Women's team is in NIT final this Saturday and he was so self-absorbed to take away their limelight.
3. This deal was in the works before we played Stanford
4. He has been looking ever since he has been at Marquette. Yes, he built the program, but only as
for his own purpose.
5. Hired puppets for an A.D. and family members.
6. Hasn't even called the recruits or publicly endorsed his assistant coaches for jobs at MU. Without
a great replacement, it could set us back years without a recruiting class next year.
Next: He'll probably try to entice some of our lost recruits to go to Indiana
I wish him total failure at IU and I am going to be the biggest UW fan there ever was when they play IU next year.

I'd guess if MU does let the recruits out of their LOI's that they would have the stipulation of not going to Indiana or any other Big East school.
Don't know if you can legally limit where the recruits could go - can you?

Don't know about that, but this is interesting:
Is a National Letter of Intent binding if the coach of my sport leaves the institution?
Yes. The National Letter of Intent you signed with an institution is valid if the coach who recruited you leaves the institution with which you signed. When you sign a National Letter of Intent you sign with an institution and not with a coach or a specific team. http://www.national-letter.org/faq/

That doesn't stop him from going after anyone he recruited to come here from younger classes.
