Here's the relevant text.
"Williams' voice mail box was naturally full Wednesday morning. So a text exchange followed. He said he'll go to Indiana if he doesn't get the top job at Marquette and meanwhile "pray 4my wife + kids" facing the prospect of another yet another move."
This dude scares me. IU sounds like a good place for him.
I feel like Williams would be gone if he got the job at MU at the first good opportunity.

Agreed. If we hire Williams, he will probably leave in 5-10 years, and we will be in the same spot we are in now.
That is just the way it is. I hope whoever we get does such a good job he is getting offers from UNC and UCLA.
and IU when they fire Crean
I think Buzz is posturing a little after hearing some of the TT comments...a little scare helps pump him. I like he is a great recruiter as MU needs a national guy (again, SC is our only WI scholie). I like that Colorado St. and A&M have good things to say about him. UNO is the ? mark...but I understand he felt the Admin wasn't going to support sports after Katrina vs. what he was promised. Worth digging into.
More so, I like that he wants the job and the recruits and players want him. I think we owe the three amigos continuity and the chance to make a run next year. These guys+ Lazar stood up tall for MU today.
And, no, I don't think we are settling. He has been a head coach. And, after one year, I don't think he is a TC guy--in fact, it sounded like he was caught off guard, only hearing about it with the team. Bet Rab knew prior. I actually think he would be a great hire. And, btw, any coach we hire may be gone in 5-10 years.
agree - if Buzz is good enough to go to a "better" program, then we will still be in a good place.

Oops...sorry Wes :-[...but my point is we have more in/and in the pipeline from NY, IL, TX, etc. In the BE, we need a national recruiter vs. a regional guy.
