"I'll always have my ties with Marquette but I can see myself going down to Bloomington a few times and cheering for them and becoming an Indiana fan."

Love him or hate him, Crean connects with a lot of people and he'll have a lot of support, whether it's Bilas, Davis, Diener, Wade or whomever.  There are a LOT of people in Crean's corner.

I would hope the sportswriters who have been (and will be) provided scoops and former players who made it to the NBA are in the coach's corner. They are not getting screwed by him.

Many MU fans are shifting away from his corner because they feel somewhat violated by him.

So at 6:30 yesterday he found time to call a player who hasn't played for him in what 3 years?
What time did he get around to talking to his current (former) players? Before or after 6:30?
What time did he get around to talking to his recruits? Has he yet?

I am more amazed (disgusted) by his actions as the day goes on.

Just a quick point here, Travis plays for the INDIANA Pacers. What did you expect him to say? "Screw Crean, I hope IU eternally loses in the 1st round of tbe NITs"?

If I ever see Travis on TV cheering for IU, I am going to puke.

Crean has schmoozed a lot of people - he's very skilled at that.  Sure a lot of folks are on his side - and he will have more resources avaialble to him at IU than most coaches can dream of - so he will probably do ok, and he'll get more supporters.

For us at Marquette, left in the dust he's vrushing off his Milwaukee sandles, we are not so much in that corner.  I want a great coach at MU - and I want to foget about Crean.

Travis Diener--Zero NCAA appearances without Wade.  And perhaps the most embarrassing injury in Marquette history.

keep in mind that Trav is on Eastern time too...meaning Crean called him less than an hour after the news broke on ESPN (5:40 EST)...so clearly he did have a phone that was working...

Let's all take a deep breath here.

Diener is also one of our all-time greats, our all-time leading scorer if not for that injury, and a true Warrior.

Agreed.  Let's focus the anger where it belongs.  On the Unfrozen Caveman Coach known as Crean.

Travis Diener = Stud

Trav was asked how it feels for the state of Wisconsin to lose Crean and Brett Favre in such a short time.  Travis  clearly said he was a Marquette man, but he loves Crean, and said the MU faithful will look back on this after awhile, and see all what Crean did for the program.  As, far as Favre, he chuckled, and said he was a Bears Fan.

In typical Crean fashion, I'm sure he's only calling his ex players in the NBA. If you haven't noticed, the Crean family are social climbers/money chasers of the highest magnitude
