Why are so many people assuming this guy is clueless. Crean left in the middle of the frigging night for God's sake. He boned MU. Cottingham has a presser today, within 24 hours. How frigging fast can he act.
Give the guy a chance, hear what he has to say. MU is in better shape today than nine years ago when Crean was hired. Fr. Wild is no dummy. MU may come out of this just fine.
As for Crean, his midnight bolt leaves much to be desired.

Yes, Crean Irsay'd Marquette. WTF........Cottingham is in quick recovery mode, which is a good sign.
Nice reference NYWarrior, I was saying to my dad that he "Colted" us, but "Irsay'd" is a much better term.
I agree. I have no problem with the guy, although I still think this was a Crean hire -- Chicos seems to think otherwise though and he would know better than I. But I give him the benefit of the doubt.
I hope Crean is happy that we're being forced to parade out his former players to answer for his Midnight Express.

I think Cottingham is a MU hire note a Crean hire. What troubles me most is the lack of experience in this stuff, but no time like the present. ;)
Plus I'm sure Cords would be involved.
