Them is the big leagues girls.....strange such a bad coach would be given that much money and term....by two different universities. Strange
wow, Indiana loves pissing away money. i wonder if my dad, uncle, other uncle, grandma, cousin, cousin, cousin, cousin's husband, and cousin will keep sending money to their alma mater if they keep throwing huge money at average-to-slightly-above average coaches?
getting screwed with your pants on by a coach who's reputation was crap (sampson) forces you to get screwed again when you have to save your reputation.
670 the score just reported the contract was for 8 years, $16 million

Wouldn't that surpass Tubby Smith and make TC the highest paid coach in college basketball? Someone please tell me I'm wrong.
will someone please explain to me why it is that Crean gets soo much money?!?!?! I really dont see it. Maybe because of his recruiting abilities or the suck ass he is to stakeholders for the university, but as a coach, I dont see why his value is that high.
Throw out the whole thing that IU needs to revamp their program and bring in someone with a squeeky clean record is a great way of doing that. Is it his players graduation rates? please explain.
I read on USA Today that Crean's buyout was "approximately $500,000". Why so low? Did USA Today get their figures wrong? If it was so low that really sucks!
yes, they have it wrong.
he has a no buyout contract, so IU or Crean owe MU a lot of $
I'm willing to bet some IU booster (Mark Cuban) will pay that

$3,500,000
I guess he deserves that kind of money for wanting to endure a clean-up job and NCAA sanctions. IU's not paying for a better coach; they're paying for a better IMAGE.
