Other: Sort of all of the above.

I very much appreciate everything he did here, but now that he's made this decision, he can suck it, and I hope he falls flat on his face. I wish him no success, as hs sucess cannot translate into anything good for MU. MU gave him everything he wanted and more, and it still wasn't enough. So be it. I think there is real potential that we ultimatley end up with an upgrade.

I appreciate what he did for MU, but he can suck it for leaving us hanging'.
I was really looking forward to next season, but now I am not that excited. I really hope he gets fired in a year or two.

You are either with us or against us.  I am sorry to say, he is against us now.

The only way he can piss me off more is if he wins recruiting battles against MU.  That is if he is allowed to recruit after the NCAA gets done with IU.

I agree with everything you've said, but I am more comcerned about the future -- will current recruits stay committed? will current players remain with team? will future recruits cut ties?  I am hoping for an upgrade, but there are not many coaches out there that get me too excited.  Thus, Crean can suck it.

It works both ways though. The next guy may bring in better players too. Hell, in his one year, Bob Huggins got the number 1 pick in the upcoming draft to commit to Kansas State for crying out loud. Look at the team Bruce Weber inherited (and was able to keep) at Illinois. Look what Jamie Dixon has done with Pitt post-Howland. Then there are guys like Tony Bennet at Wazzu. Bo Ryan at Wisconsin. Matt Painter at Purdue. Sean Miller at Xavier. Gregory at Dayton. Cases where coaches who never would have been fired, left for greener pastures and in most cases the teams ended up better under the replacement.

I suppose there could be some short-term ramifications, especially where James and McNeal are concerned, but when you get right down to it, players just wanna play, and if we hire the right guy, they won't go anywhere. I readily admit this could turn out bad, but if we hire the right guy, we just might get better.

I wish him absolutely nothing but ill-will, failure and total misery in his future endeavors.    I hope he falls flat on his face at IU and never gets back up.

My thoughts I had to get off my chest...
His biggest 3 recruits at one time (James, McNeil, and Mathews) and he's leaving them in their senior year...when there's a good chance they will all return...now I'm not so sure any of them will stick around.  Will Marquette see some of their new recruits leave as well?
I was never the biggest fan of Crean's coaching but I thought he improved a lot this year and always brought in great talent.  I understand that coaching jobs like Indiana don't come around that often, if ever.  Crean's probably going to have NCAA penalty regarding Sampson's fiasco...not really the position I'd want to step into.  Does he really want to get his ass whooped by Michigan State every year (maybe even twice a year)?  And why would you leave the Big East (one of the best conferences) for the Big 10?  For more wins?  BS.
I'm very interested to see who will get the MU job.
Crean is known for his class but this may have shattered it all for me today.  But I'm probably just thinking with too much emotion.
GO MARQUETTE!!

While I'm bitter right now, he did good things here.
I wish him good luck

The guy was all marketing and what did he have to show for it (besides the statistical outlier final four year)!!! Not much I will admit I didn't like the guy after the final four run and I thought his offense was bullcrap.  In addition, his shaky recruiting and inability to get big men will not be missed.  I thought he should have been terminated last year but all you homers were kissing his ass.  Well TC just took a huge dump all over us so you homers can continue to kiss his ass if you want!

The problem is that MU fans have low expectations thankfully there is a lot of talent out there and hopefully we hire someone that know what the hell they are doing!
