Title: Sorry to say-

but it seems as if Marquette remains a stepping-stone position for a head coach.
not a career destination.

granted, coaches at other high profile schools leave-
often tho' it's because of performance or perceived lack thereof.

it goes to show-
a head coach wields a great deal of power when it comes to the long-term success of a program... even when they split.
TC is leaving only his keys- everything else; current players and recruits included; remain in limbo.

this one smarts, for certain, as the state of program appears to in flux as a result of this puzzling decision (imo)...

hopefully MU acts swiftly and decisively.
they've proven they'll spend the $$$$- so hopefully there's someone out there with all the intangibles required to win in the BE who will covet this job.
at least for the foreseeable future.
and that appears to be our reality.

one thing to add...

talk about this being a business-
nba coach goes- who cares... it's a business.

we all get wrapped up emotionally in this cause it's our alma mater, or we appreciate the passion of the college game or whatever.

it has meaning.
