Ville fan here guys. Let me say that no one person is bigger than the program. TC did a very nice job and worked his tail off for the 9 years while at Marquette. However, a new chapter of Marquette B-Ball is about to be opened and I have no doubt that the right man will be brought in to continue the strong tradition that has been built over the years.
I've followed Marquette since the McGuire days and have always appreciated the rivalry that exists between our two schools.
Have the faith and know that change, while sometimes difficult, can be a good thing.
Good luck next season.
P.S. I was pissed when you guys lost to Standford.
GO CARDS!!
GO BIG EAST!!
I totally agree. I was very sad to see TC go, but guess what hes gone! and he aint coming back. SO lets make the best of this. Lets go get a good coach, lets continue to improve our program! Personally, I am VERY EXCITED to see what happens. I can't wait for them to make the hire and I cant wait for next season
As much as I hate to see this happen, I actually do think there is a possibility that MU actually ends up with an upgrade. I like(d) Crean a whole lot, and lived what he did here. That said, I certainly did have my issues from time to time. With what MU has to offer -money included, I'm not sure when all is said and done that we may not end up benefiting from this. Of course there is the potential that it goes the other way, and that's the bitch of the whole thing.
I agree I could easily see this going completly downhill, especially with our AD situation. But with that being said I mush rather think about the possibilty of us getting even better. B/C That sounds really fun and exciting right now
I'd feel MUCH more comfortable if Bill Cords was still around...
If cords was still around id be able to sleep the next two weeks. O well
He is. Bill Cords is like the Cato Kalin of the Big East. I swear I saw him more this year than I have ever. If they want his advice, I'm sure he will provide it. Besides, a high profile hire like this is at a place like MU is going to be done by Fr. Wilde anyway. Of course the AD will be involved, but Wilde will definitley be calling the shots.
