I hate to say it, but doesn't Crean leaving show us where we stand in the grand scheme of things in college bball? Marquette and the city of Milwaukee simply cannot attract top notch recruits - even despite the Al center, the Big East and Crean's high salary, and everything else we have to offer. Crean knew this, he gave it a shot, and he knows he will succeed more in the long run at IU. Crean sees IU getting blue-chippers like Eric Gordon and DJ White, simply because it's IU, he's thinking he can dominate the Big Ten with his recruiting skills, whereas he'll never be able to out-recruit Georgetown, UConn, Loiusville, in the Big East.
sorry for the negative post but no one else seems to be looking at it this way.
FU!
Crean was a bad recruiter because of his system and his personality!
sad but true.
IU can't recruit either.
Tom has a lot of work to do in state. He sent no correspondence to Rob Hummel or Scott Martin, both at Purdue.
