MUVOL06: Anyone remember this guy? Came to the Marquette board to say how much Marquette sucked because they lost to Louisville back in Jan? I seem to recall him telling us how good Vanderbilt and the SEC was too. Gee, no SEC teams at all in the Elite Eight? And his beloved Volunteers are done as well.
My favorite quote of his...
Also, I dont know if you happened to follow today's games but that overly awesome Louisville team that is completely unstoppable (its the only possible way they could have beaten the great MU team a few days ago) lost by ten to Seton Hall

Tennessee plays individualistic, chaotic basketball and they didn't impress me at all tonight. If DJ leaves, we could always try copying their style, because they did pretty well for playing an entire season without a point guard.
Wasn't a fan of that guy. Good to see him eat his words. Good thing Bruce Pearl is such an awesome coach right? If anyone complains about Crean, look at the talent Pearl had on his squad. Far superior to what we had and they still got smoked. Maybe our losses to Louisville weren't as embarrassing as we thought.
I agree,
I was never impressed with Tennessee this year...at least not to the degree that I'd consider them a top 5 team. They're good but I never thought they were that good, comparing them to teams in the SEC doesn't help because the SEC was down this year. When they played a top 25 team it was usually in the state of Tennessee, although I think Memphis is going to be in for a shock tonight or at the very least they'll get destroyed by Texas in houston...
MUVOL is the reason I was rooting for Louisville. Bruce Pearl is a slime and his players are so poorly coached it's ridiculous.
Despite praying, rain-dancing, and using voodoo, Louisville beat Tennessee.
Alas, my desired result of a 2-2 draw after both Pitino and Bruce Pearl spontaneously combusted was not to be.
Oh well...
Tennessee is the anti-Wisconsin. It's amazing that we could hate such polar opposites.
I thought we were quick and athletic, but Tennessee is in a different world from us. They may be the quickest team I have ever seen. They were much quicker and more athletic than even Louisville.
But they had no discernable offense other than try to beat the other team down the court and hit the offensive glass, which isn't going to get it done against a team like Louisville. They were taking off balance threes from NBA distance with 28 seconds left on the shot clock and no one under the basket! I couldn't believe this team even had a coach.
In Bruce Pearl's defense, he won at UWM without athletes of this caliber so he must know how to coach. But you wouldn't have known it watching last night. I would say that Tennessee played like it was a pick-up game but that would be an insult to pick-up games.

Hilarious.
I wish Tom Crean was more personable like Bruce.
Also, for full disclosure, I don't mind Bruce... and I even find his teams and some of his antics entertaining. I just don't understand the whole "he's better than Crean" sentiment of some people.
Bruce seems to be a hell of a coach... but so is Tom Crean.

Where are those girls at Marquette? Bruce is probably in heaven down there.
Ziggy and I are just to the right of the blond unfortunately just out of camera view.
I'd say it's only a matter of time until Bruce gets himself into real trouble chasing young skirt, don't you think?

Absolutely, I am pretty sure he was client 1-8.
I wonder how long it took those girls to get all of Bruce's nasty sweat off of them.
