Some Highlights regarding MU in the Anaheim Region (Love from UCLA was his best player selection):
Next-Best Players: Brook Lopez, Stanford (30 points and the game winner versus Marquette); Jerel McNeal, Marquette (30 points versus Stanford, and nobody was hotter to end the season).
Most Courageous Player: Joe Crawford, Kentucky. Crawford scored 35 points against Marquette and laid his heart on the floor. He fought his guts out from the start of the game to the moment he fouled out, and he is a highly respected player. There are others who can match his talent, but few can match his heart and determination.
Classiest Move: Dominic James, Marquette. After Crawford fouled out of the first-round contest with Marquette, James followed him to the Kentucky bench and congratulated him on his career and his effort. It was a classy move by one great competitor to another and a show of respect for the game. That is what this tournament is really all about.
Most Unsung Player: Mitch Johnson, Stanford. The Cardinal point guard gets little ink, but Stanford would be in dire straits without him. Johnson kept his team together after Trent Johnson hit the showers and had nine points, 16 assists and only one turnover against the great guards of Marquette.
Best Coaching Job, Overall: Tom Crean, Marquette. The Golden Eagles won 11 Big East games for the first time ever, and they reached the Big East semifinals for the first time ever. And Marquette should return its entire backcourt, Lazar Hayward and a healthier Trevor Mbakwe. Crean is always prepared and always dialed in, and his team responds to him. That guy can coach.
Agree with him fully.
As much as I love to complain about DJ, that was super classy.
Man...Bilas loves us.
Can't blame him though, I love us too.
I would love to see Bilas at Midnight Madness next year.

I would love to see Bilas at Midnight Madness next year.
I consumed quite a few beers but last time he was there I believe I remember him predicting a "final 4 run"... ("back in the day" when MM was hosted at US Cellular arena)
Jay Bilas who?
Sure doesn't hurt to have a top ESPN sportscaster like us. Especially with him coming from a program like Duke.
Who to believe about Crean?...Jay Bilas or some of the dopes on this board.
