Title: 2008-2009 BE Scheduling Question
Post by: 1990Warrior on March 24, 2008, 11:24:34 AM
I am trying to get my mind off of the Stanford game, so here is a little distraction.

Could someone remind me:
1. Do the mirror games change so that we get three new ones or is it random?
2. Aside from the mirror games, if we played someone on the road in the previous year does that mean we play them at home this year or is it random?

Mirror games are decided  upon with the help of television, namely ESPN.  It seems that if you are an upper echelon team, they'll give you 2 good opponents and one lesser one for your mirror games.   Where we fall in the BE predicted pecking order will depend largely on who stays and who goes.

I'd like ND, DePaul and one of the other top teams like Louisville or UConn.

Not 100% sure but I think that when we swtiched to the 18 game schedule we also locked into the same mirror games for 2 years.  In each of those years the road and home games would be flip floped.  So this year our mirror games should be louisville, seton hall and notre Dame and our games against west virginia, uconn, georgetown, syracuse, rutgers, USF, Cincy, st johns, depaul, providence, villanova, and pitt would all be at the opposite location
