Title: Will I see the Marquette-Stanford game?
Post by: MU Avenue on March 22, 2008, 02:45:02 PM
Would someone who is absolutely in the know please tell me if I will be able to watch the Marquette-Stanford game on television.

I am traveling in upstate New York and just heard an announcer say, "At 6:30, most of you will see Notre Dame take on a tough Washington State team."

While I have many of Tony Bennett's albums, I do not want to see his team. ... Wait! What? It is not even THAT Tony Bennett?

Now I really could not care less about seeing that game. Is the country really interested in seeing Notre Dame play anyone, let alone Washington State?

On a related matter, I assume others saw the CBS pre-game segment that glorified and provided a network hug for the Notre Dame basketball player who was caught with pot.

Would the network have done such a sappy story about -- for? -- a player at any other school? I think not. Well, perhaps for a Duke player who ran afoul of the law.

You're out of luck. Pray for a blowout in the ND game.

Edit: since you're looking for "absolutely in the know", I'll clarify that this says preliminary so there's a chance it changed.
