Title: Where to watch Chicago
Post by: leglegle on March 22, 2008, 09:51:31 AM
My nephew is in Chicago and need to see him on Saturday.  He is staying at the downtown Marriott on Michigan.  Can anyone recommend a spot to watch the game? I'm driving down from Milwaukee. Thanks

GO MU!!!!!!!  Sweet Sixteen on the horizon.

If you want to hang with the Marquette grads young and old, go to Finley Dunnes (MilTown's Favorite), the Schoolyard usually has a younger crowd of recent Marquette grads. Four Shadows is slowly becoming a good MU Spot too and I think they have the best food. These bars require a cab ride, or you can take the brown line north and get off at Paulina.

Otherwise, there are some decent bars within walking distance around the Marriott. Rock Bottom, Mother Hubbards isn't a great bar but has a decent TV setup. You can also try Division Street, or Rush Street. Joe's on Weed is another option.

God, not Rush or Division street bars....   ;)

BTW - according to today's Chicago Tribune sports section, the MU game will be televised here.  I hope thats true but not counting on it.

Come on, you have to love Butch McGuires! The scene is a bit cheesy, but Luxe Bar has awesome food and great TVs.

Also, ND is being shown in Chicago according to this:
