Another piece of evidence that the Big East is the best conference in the land.
Let's double that tomorrow with GT, Louisville, UConn, and Nova.
B11 3-0
ACC 1-0
B12 3-1
PAC10 3-2
SEC 0-2
Great day for the Big East. I was really struck by the fact that not only did the BE get 8 teams in, but 7 of them were higher seeds. I think the fact that the committee put 7 BE teams in the first 28 seeds (1-7) vindicates everything we have said all season.
Wow, PAC-10 best conference in the country huh? I wonder how Doug G will spin this.
Big 10 silenced some critics as well. MSU and Purdue looked like legit sweet 16 teams yesterday.
The Pac 10 is 3-2 with WSU, Stanford, and UCLA winning.
I would be shocked if the Big East didn't win at least 2 games today, so at worst they will be 6-2 after day, but likely 7-1. Before the BE starts to get full of itself though, I'll be interested on how it does in the 2nd round. A lot of tough games.
Include Syracuse's win over Maryland in the NIT, and the BEast was 5-0 yesterday. Good showing all around.
UConn down 5 points at halftime on Day 2.
UConn without AJ Price though. I think it'll be tough for them to win this game, doesn't look like he's coming back.
Even with Price, UConn wasn't looking good. They look sluggish and out of it. They weren't playing well down the stretch so I'm not totally surprised. In my bracket, I had them losing in the 2nd round, to Drake. Oops!
UCONN down 2 with under 2 minutes to play
