So what? How they did in 1991 has nothing to do with how they will do on Thursday. I'm sure they were the better seed in at least 17 of those matchups, too.
Judging by your list, I would point out that their current coach has never won a first round game at Kentucky.
And a round 1 loss would be one more thing to add to the laundry list people have with Billie G.
RING OUT AHOYA
It's time for that streak to end.
Go MU!!
If we lose to this Kentucky team then either the big three are chokers or Crean cannot coach in March.

I think the Big Three needed some maturing.
And I saw that during the Big East tournament.
I am VERY encouraged by their performance and expect similar effort. I just hope the rest of the players do their jobs.
Tough to put much, if any stock in that list having any sort of meaning when you look at the numbers next to their names. Awful lot of 1's, 2's, and 3's up there.
if we can't beat kentucky then maybe we're not a team that deserves a better match up.

I agree. In that loss against Pitt, you could see the players realizing how much better they could be doing and should be. Also how much they want to win, especially Jerel. If his will to win has spread to the rest of the team, I see good things this weekend. Also fould trouble is waht cost us that game for the most part. Avoid the fouls and take the game out of the officials hands, we do much better.

How does this statement correlate with your prediction that the Big East would get 5 teams into the Dance?

I think we'll beat Kentucky, but you're telling me you were encouraged by James' performance against Pitt? Given the circumstances, it may have been the worst game of his MU career.
I'm encouraged by McNeal and our match up, but that's about it.
When was the last year they lost to Gardner-Webb at home?
Shut down Crawford and Bradley and you will shut down 85% of their scoring. without those two they pretty much have nothing.
Re: Kentucky hasn't lost in first round since 1987
Kentucky hasn't sucked this bad since 1987. When was the last time Kentucky had an RPI of 57 going into the tourney? NEVER! Completely irrelevant.
