Honestly, watching the Boise St vs New Mexico St game, 3 OT, 1 is going to the dance, the other most likely NIT, if that. Even after Marquette lost last night I cracked a huge smile and cheered for Minnesota when they beat Indiana
that Hoffarber is just straight clutch... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u51znupszPw ... in case people didn't know where else you might have seen him before.
although Marquette lose to Pitt, I am still confident on this team, and only better to come for college basketball, if anyone thinks there is a better time of year, they are lying.
Agreed Mayor, for a college hoop junkie, it doesn't get any better than this. With MU's bid locked up (no matter how they did in the BET), it was nice to be able to sit back and watch this week pretty stress free. Obviously wanted MU to do well (and I think they did), but it's nice to watch games like Boise St/New Mexico St, and see kids bust their tails for a bid.
Games from 11am-midnight today, can't beat it.
I have to work 8-5 tomorrow.. I already told my boss I am not staying till 5, he understood, so Ill bust my tail to get out at 4:15 and get ready to start the madness all over again. The only thing that maybe compares to days like these is Opening Day, but that still isn't close.
Going into the tourney, I think most of us would have been happy with a 2-1 performance. After tonights game, I'm even more encouraged about our tourney chances. Pitt is legit, and we played them pretty even for most of that game. As long as we avoid the lapses we've been prone to, we could make some serious noise.
I've been hearing all season long about how the BEast has a bunch of good teams, but no great, elite teams. I think the league is going to disprove that in the tourney and I see BE teams doing well overall.
FIRE UP MARQUETTE!
