I counted about 9 times in the first half the announcers mentioned that Harangody wasn't on the floor because he had 2 fouls.
Then in the second half when he was in... they ran their stupid story about his equally dopey brother. Its like ESPN only researched harangody, and had nothing else interesting to talk about, until he was back in.
"Notre Dame must be thrilled to be ahead had have Harangody play only 10 minutes" or "Big story tonight folks, Big East Player of the year is on the bench with 2 fouls"
Do your homework ESPN and talk about anything else!
"Harangody has been on the bench for the last 5 minutes and 30 seconds...Harangody has been on the bench fo the last 6 minutes..." It was a broken record. I think they talked about him less when he was on the floor.
you are correct, they talked about him MUCH MUCH less when he was actually playing. got shut DOWN.
agreed! talk about irritating. the constant repetition was incredible!

And for that, we can thank the Ooze.
I don't know if you guys noticed this, but Luke Harangody's father and brother were at the game tonight.

Get the f*** out.... ;)
Still, there's nothing better than getting to see McAlarney's mom.

I'm going to go ahead and have to disagree with you here (unless of course you meant
there's nothing better than getting to see McAlarney's mom. ). Every televised ND game they talk about his pot arrest, and then show his mom. I wonder if they'll do it next year too...
I'd like to see Harangody's old man and McAlarney's old lady get together. Fine looking offspring that would make.

mwbauer, it was total sarcasm man.
It's too bad ESPN couldn't manage to find any MU families in the stands. It's always more fun to see happy faces at the end of a game. ;D
Please tell me the pothead is a Senior and won't be coming back. I don't care about facing him on the floor...I just might puke if I hear the same story about his arrest and see his mom in the stands one more time.
I believe pothead will be back. I enjoyed the views of the Harangody family until the sixth and seventh times.

he's a junior this season so unless he has another "issue", some pro team mistakenly drafts him, or his team gets tired of seeing his mom hanging around he will be back next year.

I hear the pro team in Amsterdam is looking for a shooter.
c'mon now...McAlarney can really "light it up"!!
By no means an ND apologist here, but since Orangotangy was named BE player of the year, it kind of made sense that ESPN would have about three sickening stories on him during the game. I thought it was awesome because they had to follow each one of them up with, "but tonight he's really struggling..."
Let's not forget, too, that ND had a bye in the first round so these stories were in the can. Had the Irish played the night before, we might have been spared Thursday night. Did the Harangodys have to pay extra for the hay in their room?
