My friend pointed this one out to me earlier. If we take care of business, and assuming Louisville makes the semis, then we have 3 games against the 3 opponents we had to play twice during the regular season.
No logic or conspiracies here, but it's just kinda weird...
Anybody have the stat of the last time a team played 3 different opponents 3 times in a season? Might need to call the Schwab on this one.

I'ts more common than you might think. Any conference that doesn't play an unbalanced schedule will wind up with a championship game pitting two teams who are both playing their 3rd different opponent for the 3rd time.
For example, last year's championship in the MVC was the 3rd match-up between Creighton and SIU.
Prior to the 3rd matchup in the finals, Creighton faced Indiana State and Missouri State 3x each; SIU had 3 games against both Drake and Bradley.
well if we do play u of l again, i hope we get elmore so i can hear him say how hard it is to beat a team 3 times in a season for the whole game.
I understand the blue font for the sarcasm, but you dont have to hope for elmore on saturday night, he is the announcer!
i would thing mcdonough, bilas, and rafftery would do the semis and finals. they are currently doing the morning sesssions.

I am thinking Bilas will be going in studio for the weekend, and Raftery will probably be doing games for CBS.

well he's the worlds worst announcer, and i don't feel like turning the sound off. he doesn't know anyone's names, contradicted himself a few times in less than a minute and at times just seems to be watching some other game when he makes the statements. but i was making a comment more towards the hearing him say that a million times, not neccessarily just having him announce. my favorite/annoying phrases from him last night were the its hard to beat a team 3 times in a year and he knows his role...apparently a few of our guys' roles are to miss layups and get a lot of rebounds then make a layup on the 3rd try (i'll take it if they make it in the end).
Elmore seems so unexcited too. He flat out puts me to sleep.
