hahahahahaha
I'm sure it looks ok on a full size TV, but trying to watch this on ESPN360 is a challenge...
i'm watching on about a 30 in. tv and my eyes declare ballgame whenever there's any action in the BLUE paint
reminiscent of orange illinois vs. red wisconsin a few years ago.
I actually think I might have a better idea of what's going on by listening to the radio call.
Can't say that too often.
Either way, all hail the return of the baby blue!
Baby blues suck. Get rid of them. This just looks ridiculous with 2 blue teams.
you suck TJ! lol, it was a color in our uniforms back in the glory days and we bring it back. they look sharp and it's not carolina blue so quit your b*tching.
In person, I really didn't like them. Plus I heard somebody saying that his colorblind brother at the game couldn't tell the difference.
I really like the light blues. Perhaps it isn't really a good idea to wear them when the other team is wearing blue jerseys. I think it would be okay against like, a Rutgers red a few weeks ago, especially since that is when they first gave away the Wade jerseys, but that was before we lost in the whites so we had to wear the whites. But I do really like the light blues.
agreed the blue against ablue team was dumb, should have worn them against Rutgers.

I just don't understand the ultimate goal... The school goes through years of drilling yellow/gold and trying to get us all to wear it to the games, then they are finally pretty successful and they start giving out all this baby blue stuff. Now the previously 95% gold student section is just 85% gold. And the rest of the crowd is worse. And also I don't really like the contrast of seeing a team with baby blue unis being cheered on by a predominantly gold crowd.
Finally, and most importantly, no more baby blue against teams with blue uniforms!
Maybe we can expect father wild to come out and say that the schools new nickname is the powder blue.

Now that's funny
I think it was smart to bring them out against a team we'd beat 99% of the time. That we, we don't think they're cursed, because we got blown out against Lville in them.
We probably should have asked FGCU to wear white, though.
TJ - I think your post is spot on. Now I am biased bc I hate the powder blues, but it seems to totally contradict the path they wanted the crowd to go down. I think the attempt to be "throw-back" also seems a little tired.
the thing w/ the gold rush is though that the past few years, students buy jerseys and wear those to games. We used to have just the white or blue jerseys so even if you get rid of the powder blue, you have the same problem w/ a lack of gold in the student section. It seems that more and more of the incoming students don't get the message for w/e reason. I try telling those I see but some ppl are intent on wearing the jerseys or something else...and then there are the few douches that wear ND stuff since they didn't get in so they came here instead and have to show their 'real team's' colors

I've never in two years seen a MU student in ND gear in the student section...
check the lines before the game more. there are 2 or 3 there about 15-30 min before doors open fairly often
i have seen people wearing ND in the student section before. the worst was this kid my freshmen year during the ND game when Novak had the big shot. He was so "conflicted" and felt so bad cheering against the mighty Irish, that he didnt cheer at all during the game for either team and just sat there in silence. i know several other people that have done the same.

When I stopped by the lines before GT, there was a kid with the f-ing Rudy ND jacket with ND sweats. I wanted to punch him in the face.
Just trying to pump up the numbers / voices of those against the powder blue. I think they look soft and pretty. But I don't think that's the intention of a mens sports uniform.
If you think about it, when professional teams try to market gear towards women, you see your favorite team uniform in pink and powder blue. That's what those uniforms remind me of.

It was probably the same kid I saw after the Florida Gulf Coast game wearing that damn Rudy jacket over his MU t-shirt. In fact I was walking past one of the entrances to the student section when I saw him, I stopped, walked back, looked at him, shook my head and proceeded to leave. My fiance thought I was nuts but that stuff pisses me off.
