You can still get an xbox for your kids at a charity event the football team in running!
I'm trying to figure out how you get a cricket noise playing in a thread :o ;D
Madison is actually a great city. The only problem is all of those damn badger fans.
Ziggy, Puju, Mark Miller, MadWarrior, I and other lurkers (and posters) who support MU and MU Basketball all live there (and go to Smokey Bones to watch MU on TV when they are on the road).
PS I apologize to all the other MU posters from Madison that I forgot to mention.
I'm trying to be nice on rivalry week.
I've been there on more than one occasion, and they have never run out of beer.
How's that???
He was a great president that defeated the British in the War of 1812.
That's all I've got.
Chris Farley and Wesley Matthews are from Madison.
I personally know....geez.....10 Badger fans that are actually nice people. Maybe 20 if I think hard.

The light poles on the freeway are red and white like giant candy canes.
Madison is host to many good shows (I see most of the concerts I go to in Madison)... plus the girls that go to Madison are usually not bad looking at all.... oh and they throw pretty good parties
1) Madison's "famous" lakes are all probably smaller than Pewaukee.
2) Ella's Deli
3) (Metro area) New Glarus Brewery & Spotted Cow
4) It's funny to hear Madison residents complain about traffic on the Beltline
5) I live there.
6) Hippies that don't give up. ;D

Yeah, this is probably the funniest thing about Madison. I moved there from Chicago when I was in High School. I laughed so hard when my friend said the beltline was slow at 5 PM.
My girlfriend went to Madison, and she is ok. I think I'm out......oh and I now know how NOT to cook a parrot
Ian's Pizza.
New Glarus Brewery (which, technically, isn't in Madison, so I'm not sure if that one counts.)
UW isn't ND, UL, Cincy...
That's all I've got....
affordable footwear
And of course, Daryl Hannah's character in Splash. :P
Donna Shalala doesn't live there any more.
they have a football team :(
The Essen House... nothing beats drinking beer out of boots
Smut and Eggs (never experienced this one)
Only place I've seen someone dressed as a fish protesting the cruelty of fishing (PETA)
Take a course on 911 and learn how Bush caused it all
Or, don't go to class and become ineligible, but hell one third of your team it too so who cares!

Second!
Though I believe you can do the same at Hofbrau on Old World Third, so who needs Madison?
They lead the country in red blazers worn.
madison's a very cool place.
better music scene than milwaukee.
Pretty campus, my wife has family there, the farmers market around the capital. May the nuke fall there first.
mifflin st. block party is pretty fun... if you're an under-ager or like to pee on the side of strangers' houses.
They've drawn record setting crowds to their annual Riot Festival. I believe they put in on around Halloween every year.
Q: How many UW grads does it take to screw in a light bulb?
A: 7 - one to put it in, then the other 6 to stand around and gloat about how incredibly Ivy League they made that look.

Don't forget the 15 to protest the use of electricity, the harmful effects of lightbulbs, the pollution created by making the lightbulb, the working conditions in the factory, and for good measure, animal rights. Also, 2 anti-war protesters are hanging out for the camaraderie.

I liked this one:
Q: How many UW students does it take to screw in a light bulb?
A: 7- One to screw it in while the other 6 try to make a bong out of the old one.
or:
Q: Why dont they celebrate Christmas in Madison?
A: You cant find a virgin and three wise men.
This is easily the best thread in the short history of this site!
If anyone gets the Madison - Gary bumper stickers going, please let me know and send me one!
As for my contribution:
I once had 2 1/2 pitchers of Swampwater there, after a Warriors 81-65 win and a Tony Miller 18-10-10 triple double
I have a buddy who works for the Mallards, though he enjoys his job with the Admirals more
It marks the two-thirds mark of a trip from my house to watch a far superior basketball team play
Hey...if anyone gets that bumper sticker going, remember where it started...I want the first one! ;D
And of course the number one reason to love Madison:
Anything that's not perfect can be fixed with PhotoShop.
They have girls stats listed on their men's basketball page.
Follow the link and click on cumulative stats.

Good Work!
great history of progressive politics. fun halloween parties. easy girls. fans of their basketball team are easy to make fun of.
DC wins the award for post of the day. That may be better than the bumper sticker.
