Well done, young man. A real joy to watch. Eventually he will have to do it against players his own size. Patience is always a virtue. But for tonight, freaking awesome.
Agreed. Fun to watch tonight. Very coordinated with the ball. Great to see.
Loved what I saw from JC tonight. On both ends of the floor.
Finally, one of Shaka's project bigs is developing.
Clearly has improved his skill level along with the increased weight/strength.
Looking forward to seeing him continue to gain confidence as the season progresses

Are you saying that sometimes we should be patient with players and nonlinear growth?
I get it, it's Mercyhurst. That said, if Josh can give us 12-15 quality mins a game, it will be a tremendous, tremendous, boost to MU's chances. I think most Scoopers grasp this, hence the excitement over his performance today.
He was very good, and poised.
I can see where the "he needs to believe in himself" comes from- he isn't vociferous, isn't cocky, just does his job.
Shaka is trying to make him and Fru nastier, cockier. We will see. They can play as "quiet" as they want if they play like tonight.
Can't wait to watch them both get punched in the mouth against the big boys and respond with a punch of their own

Excellent points DocV. I was thinking the same thing, get freaking nasty/aggressive. If I could just put my personality in their bodies....we'd be in serious business. :)

Very encouraging first game from Josh and I think it will help his confidence. Pleasantly surprised with that performance.
He couldn't run up and down the court 3x last season without being totally gassed. He's obviously much stronger and in better basketball condition now.
The opponent was so bad tonight that it's difficult to judge very much, but I really liked Clark's energy and his willingness to keep pushing himself.
Coach Rock was hired to toughen them up. Josh has come a long way.
Josh will definitely be a difference maker this season. He can ball.
JC Superstar
Once 18 is healthy JC will be benched, book it.

He must have skipped practice.
Just wanted to pile on the Clark love. Particularly his first basket, which showed us skills and awareness I didn't know he had.

That basket was the first in transition of his collegiate career.

Yes, that rim run was great. It showcased how much better basketball condition he is in this season, and he made a nice play at the hoop, too.
But the one that impressed me most was the finger-roll he made. I chuckled out loud and said, "We've got Wilt on the team now."
