Title: NBA - 2026-27
Post by: MU82 on October 16, 2026, 10:53:44 AM
In the annual NBA.com GMs poll, Wembanyama was the overwhelming choice for MVP, "first player you'd sign when starting a franchise," "player who forces the most adjustments," best international player, best defensive player, best interior defender, and most versatile player.

But he somehow finished well behind Jokic in the "best center" category - 63% to 37%.

Nonsensical. No doubt Jokic is an all time great, but there is a gap in logic with that voting. IMHO.

Kyle Kuzma is almost as impressive on the court as he is off it

Maybe if everyone subscribes to the pod he can just do that full time instead of basketball.

One of these things is worse for society, the other is worse for me personally. Damn I really am getting more conservative in old age

Fun first night of NBA action.

The Celtics, who didn't blow a 20-point lead all last season, did so in their opener and lost to the Pistons.

The Sixers look formidable. Getting LeBron for only a few million bucks let them add some nice depth pieces, which they'll need as they rest LeBron and Embiid often. But come playoff time, if everybody's healthy, they will be dangerous.

The Thunder put three players named Williams on the court at the same time ... and after an altercation on the court, all three were assessed technical fouls. OKC won anyway, beating the Spurs as Wembanyama went 1-for-13 from the floor.

I get that it was opening night, against the Champs and in MSG, but Philly can't let LBJ play 34 min a game this year, right?

Think that's a wrap on the Bucks season

Giannis could've stayed in Milwaukee if he wanted to be down 20 at home going into the 3rd quarter against a fringe play in team. Heat are Giannis and trash. Old and no assets to get better. Sounds familiar. He better hope the allure of South Beach brings in about 4 winning players next offseason. But in reality, they need to trade Bam. Giannis and Bam being your two best players is not going to work.

Recreating the Milwaukee Bucks in Miami from first principles

So either the Bucks are cleared of Gary Trent Jr issue and they don't need to put up a facade. Or they are getting hammered and don't need to put up the facade.
