Title: Great win for Gtown, but
Post by: mviale on March 01, 2008, 06:49:20 PM
They are feeling lucky to escape with a win - they respect us.

Ewing was great - smart player
Rivers looked like a lost pup.
Hibbert scored points, but non-factor in final score.
Crean should have done the chicken foul with us up by 3 and 7 seconds left.

will get you a can of Diet Pepsi.

Good teams create their own luck. GU is good and I doubt they feel lucky to have won. I'm sure they came to MKE expecting a W. If you think Hibbert was a non-factor, your basketball knowledge is even less than I gave you credit for. As a 7' 1" center the one thing he doesn't do well is jump. If you doubt my analysis, I invite you to play attention to the NBA's draft this summer and see if he shows up as a lottery pick.

As far as that lost pup you referred to, if he needs a home, Jeremiah would look real good as a Warrior.

Don't let your love for MU cloud realism and objectivity. Marquette doesn't have all the pieces to the puzzle.

hibbert was on the bench while ewing brought them back - Thompson went small.  Dude, your hatred for crean makes you enjoy these losses. pathetic.

I think yor all effin nuts.

Hibbert was definitely a factor.
Ewing was definitely a factor, and in my opinion, THE factor.
MU should have fouled at the end of regulation - yes I said so at the time.

Guys like 4ever are rught up there with "Undecided" voters. Thier primary objectove is simply to be right or be on the  winning side. How can they lose? If Mu wins they're happy becuase they're MU fans, and if they lose they are happy because it gives him more reason to rip on Crean. Quite lame.

agreed - scared to stick his neck out there and pick a side.

I am proud of the team yesterday.  Win or Lose, I support Marquette. Some just dont have the stomach to handle the loss.

I agree they came in expecting to win, and so did we. A should have loss/win only gets you so are.

Hibbert was THE factor. I dont remember maybe more than twice that he caught it on the block and didnt score. Jonathan Wallace played like a complete leader, and Ewing was Ewing.

A game we may we wish we had? sure.

I think it may cost us a seed in 2 weeks tho...

check the game ticker - total non-factor in final 10 min. Its all about wallace and ewing.  Hibbert was too winded to keep up when it counted.

Same with OT

I would hate to play a game that Hibbert is a factor in. what a silly comment, 7'3" Hibbert was not a factor???  Ask ooze, who was helpless, what a factor Hibbert was.
