Upon placing my deposit for this next year's Season Tickets, I noticed that both my Priority Points/Rank dropped YOY, despite attending a number of games (more than prior years) & maintaining my seat, which was up 12%, from last year.
I'm sure I need a PHD to understand MU's math here, but does it just boil down to extra donations on top of your Season Ticket Included Donation? Wasn't aware I'd drop in both rank or priority all things being equal, with the increase in Ticket Costs.
I'm sure I am bottom of the barrel on both, but just trying to understand how it all works ::)
And speaking of Ticket Costs, any rumblings if we expect another major jump in costs this year to justify the increased NIL for our roster?
Points are based off seniority (how long you've had tickets), alumni status, if you were an athlete at marquette, and donations to the school. You do get a measly 2 (?) Points for perfect attendance, but if you miss a single game this one gets deleted.
The fastest way to jump up in rank is to of course donate, theoretically you could go all the way to the top in a single year.
I dont believe the required "donation" to the school on certain ticket levels count for extra points.
Thanks! I didn't realize it was only 2 Points for Perfect Attendance, that's wild.

They care way more about the $$$ than if you actually show up.

Right. Yeah, they SAY they want you to show up and be loud, but they really don't care THAT much.
Same as every school in the country.

You are likely paying more for that Big Time College BB performance by MU over the past season and one half. Marketing is great!
You really cooked him there willie!!

It's wild to me anyone would pay for season tickets. Real fans complain on message boards after watching the game on TV and getting plastered drinking Natural Ice.

The flaw in your hypothesis is it takes so much Natty Ice to get plastered that you miss the entire game because you are in the bathroom peeing.
But my assumption rests on the complainers actually watch the games.
In the Before Times at the Bradley Center, points mattered a lot. After 20 years of tickets, best we could do is a lower corner.
The first ~2 years in Fiserv, it didn't seem like points mattered much due to availability. If you wanted to sit in the center sections, there was availability, even for low point STHs, if you wanted to spend the money for those center seats.
Is it still like that, or did the centers fill in?

Natty ICE AND the devils lettuce.
Beers at the fiserv are $15 a piece, the beer in my fridge cost 20 for 30!

Based on Willie's posting history in the game threads, this actually checks out

The web pages that show all the updated point valuations, the calculator, etc all seem to have been taken down. Here's an old version, but there have been changes I believe. What could have happened is the amount you donated or spent last year was surpassed by people who ranked below you last year, so now you've dropped in rank even though your points have gone up.

First-ever beers are $15? That must include the retinal additive.

Back in Willie's day, he could go to the Mecca and get drunk on $10 and yell racial slurs at the other teams.
Nowadays, $10 doesn't even buy you one beer and you can't yell racial slurs. Sad!

Well, for 6 of the last 10 years you've been able to yell racial slurs no problem.

You ain't giving joyless willie nearly enough credit. He could get drunk on $10 and yell racial slurs at the home team, too.

Not sure. It'd be nice if Global Moderators could ban users from the entire globe, though.

Wrong about Natty Ice. It is horse piss. Manhattans, martinis and Corona or Heineken are my preferreds when watching MU getting plastered while I get plastered with them.

Corona and Heineken are clearly not horse piss.

You can't hate on Natty Ice and then admit to drinking Heineken in the next sentence.
At least Natty Ice gets you to the moon faster.

Heineken is 100% horse piss in the USA - especially since I went to Amsterdam last year and toured the brewery; the fresh Heineken at the brewery has ruined my taste for Heineken in the USA.
