There aren't many rumors about the Lions draft. Should we be worried?
You're a Lions fan. Your team went from first to worst in a year.
prepare thyself for another 20 year drought!
Fully expect the Packers to draft physical specimens but not football players
Meh. Been there, done that. Sometimes, the real adventure is seeing what never before seen way to lose the Lions can come up with.
Anyway, back to the draft. Chalk has the Lions going O-line. Like guards in college basketball, you can never have too many linemen. The question is whether Detroit burns a 5th or 6th in order to move up for the one they want.

I think I'd like things to be quite around my team. No drama, do your work and get quality players.

It'll be tough for the Bears to focus on the draft tonight. Unseasonably warm. Not good Bears weather. That said, not sure what the weather in their future home of Hammond is like.

Safety in the 1st round isn't exciting, but seems to be a good value based upon the rankings/projections. Not much to complain about, so frustrating. ;D
Patriots eschewed Vrabel's desire for a tight end? 8-)

I'm not sure there has been enough reporting on this one.
Sewell to LT. Miller plugged in at RT. It is clear the Detroit power structure blames inconsistent O-line play for last season's results. And that keeping Goff upright and creating gaps for Gibbs is the solution.
Edge in round 2. Then a whole lot of pick shuffling.
From the intertubes:
Maybe Mike Vrabel got confused about what type of cheating helps the Patriots win Super Bowls

To be fair, he is from Indiana and played 2 years at Purdue before realizing that West Lafayette is a boring dump and escaping westward.
This is a savvy move by the Bears to draft a local resident of the home state of their new stadium

That's a good point. They'll be able to sell a local hero to the Indiana Bears fanbase

Lions traded up. Let's see what terrible pick they make. They already got hosed on the trade itself, so they might really screw this up.

Bears playing chess. Pick up a 3rd round talent in the 2nd and gave away a 2nd round pick for less than the trade chart value.
Coach Ben can do anything.
Hammond has pick 69, nice.
A TE? lol, F
Kmet WAS a nice player for the Bears. I wish him well.
Based on his highlight reel, new packers CB Cisse makes Valentine's tackling skills look like Ray Lewis.
If he is at all soft, the pronunciation opportunities with his name lend themselves to many punch lines.

The Bears are flexing on the NFL. Taking a probable undrafted FA in the 3rd round.

The Bears are wisely saving their splash moves for when they move to Indiana.
There's a reason the NFC North is tied for dead last in Super Bowl Titles since the NFL went to 4 Divisions. The teams draft like buffoons.
Grades:
Lions: D- Reach in round 1, garbage player in round 2
Vikings: F Drafted a guy with one foot. Terrible trade with the Eagles. Reaches galore. Might be tanking
Bearz: F Speaking of reaches, that was the Bears on day 2. Assume Poles was with Kash and Pete at happy hour before the night started.
Packers: D- Drafted a guy Cheeseheads will
Be suspicious of because they can't pronounce his last name and traded up for a guy with a 4th round grade. Sad!
The Bears off-season now hinges on the Kmet trade. But regardless of the who they get back, the Bears have decided they will try to win in 38-35 type games.

They will be looking for a D-line player not draft picks.
I think they might try for Kayvon Thibodeaux. I have no idea if that is doable.
Just like the Eagles with Brown, the Bears have made it apparent they are trading Kmet. Not ideal for maximizing value.

It's fun that you're having a serious conversation with Unk. Or, more accurately, half of a serious conversation. Keep on keepin' on.
So who was actually satisfied with their team's draft?
I thought Detroit stayed more tightly on script than ever. Taylor Decker replacement, only at RT with Sewell moving to LT.
Edge
Anzalone replacement.
Raymond replacement.
Amik Robertson replacement.
DT depth
It is clear Detroit thinks that if Goff stays upright and Gibbs has a crease, the O will be fine.
Defensively, it is clear they wanted to get faster, more versatile in their front 7. Both in their draft and through FA.
They are also counting on injuries healing. McNeill healing the rest of the way. Reed, Arnold, Rakestraw, Branch, Joseph, Rodriguez.
I will give them a B, with a chance to improve if they actually get healthy.
I would give their offseason a B.
The Seahawks obviously already had a very good roster, and I felt they addressed three of their four main needs.
RB: Jadarian Price immediately becomes RB1. I wouldn't be surprised if he ends up being better than the Super Bowl MVP he's replacing.
DB: Bud Clark probably moves right into the starting lineup at safety, and the team also added CB talent/depth.
OL: Needed to improve depth and did so; 4th-round pick Beau Stephens could challenge for starting RG spot.
Edge: Failed to address this area. They lost Boye Mafe as a FA, and their other edges are either old or FAs after the 2026 season. The GM, whom I trust completely, said the team wasn't done building at this position.
I'd give a solid B.
Surprised bears went offense heavy again.
In Ben we trust
My bears fandom needs claypool at least to training camp for the packers
