Nice! I like his potential if he can get stronger.
It feels like he could benefit from the Sacar plan if we get some rotation pieces in the portal.
This is good news, IMO. A good shooter who is aggressive, can get a lot stronger, and might not be done growing.
I think he will find his role here and improve. He's got a shot that will start falling as his confidence grows. Seems to be willing to mix it up and get aggressive too.
Good, I dont want to gut everyone and find ourselves doing free agency every offseason like those that only wanted 3 players back. I have some hope he'll be solid in time.
I'm Mike Phill, I'm Mike Phill. The one and only, you can't clone me.
Best looking jumper on the team this past season. At his height and athleticism that's a great tool to have to be able to build around. Big offseason, just like for all the other young returnees

Won't lie, I kind of love this idea.
Love it. Phillips will be a very good college player. Lots of room for growth give how young he is for his class and body frame. Jumper form is KD like.
So now the known returnees thus far:
Nigel, Royce, Stevens, Owens, Philips...Hamilton/Clark?
Miletic, Pearson, Walker, Egbuonu, Johnston

Great news! Here's hoping Clark returns, one or two scholarships are banked for reclassification possibilities, etc., and two or three portal guys come aboard.

Egbuonu and Johnston aren't technically "returnees." They are incoming freshmen.
The Scholarship Table (https://www.muscoop.com/index.php?page=page4655) is up to date by the way.
Great news.
Not surprising, but still nice to hear. He's gonna be a good player before he's done at Marquette.
Awesome. I expect big things out of MP2. Think he has the potential to be a special shooter with chance to grow into a strong 3 and D guy that can win off the dribble.
I'm trying to be cautiously excited about his potential, but I'm completely stoked he's coming back and think he could take the biggest leap we've seen in a while.
So now the "official" returners are: Nigel, Adrien, Royce, DO, Clark, and MPIII. That's officially everyone I did not want to lose that got minutes this year. Tre and Sean have announced they're leaving, I don't expect the redshirts to make an announcement.

Clark announced his return? Haven't seen or heard anything on that yet.

Where does rejoining as a student manager fall in this?

Shaka probably had to re-recruit them after the news about some of the departures

Source?
Hopefully not the same one that made you 100% certain that Shaka would hand the PG back to Sean after he got healthy even though Nigel was killin' it.

That never happened, but ok!
Has Ramsey announced he is coming back?

Making a claim and then being vague about it is as annoying as it gets.
If you've heard something, sack up and spill it.
I like MP, it's about finding his role with extended mins. I think he has to improve his handles and overall success off the bounce.

He has to improve his defense.
I think his defense will be the thing he improves the most. The game will slow down for him and he'll have another year of D1 film/coaching. He'a also going to put on another 15-20 lbs od muscle to fill out that frame.

I heard Ramsey donated all his NIL earnings to an orphanage.
Have said it before, but I'm telling myself (and I really believe it) that MPII is still another season away from being 'really ready' defensively. Doesn't mean he won't play next year, but don't think he can have extended minutes unless there's a crazy transformation in defensive ability. I think that's still another year away.
That said, with other *potential* shooters getting a chance next year (e.g., Ian and Nash both redshirted already), plus let's see who transfers in, there's a scenario where a redshirt for MPII makes sense, if he's interested in that. Not a bad idea if he's a guy who wants to stay in the program for years to come (and I hope he does).

Ive had the same thought. Think he can be really good as an upperclassmen but not yet next year. A ways to go on defense and physically still.
A redshirt not only gives him a year to fill out and get back into the class with guys his own age, but it also gets him out of Nigel and Stevens class where it would be tough to ever be more than a strong role player. That 5th year he could potentially take on a true featured role on the offensive end if he keeps developing. Or at least that's how I would sell it.

It actually did, and you doubled-down on it, too.
Again, why are you certain that Clark isn't coming back?

Find where I said I guaranteed it. You won't, because you can't.
I said I didn't think Shaka would keep Sean on the bench and risk losing him in the offseason. I was wrong. I never guaranteed anything.

You're ignoring the question regarding Clark again.

You sure seemed certain, and in more than one post. But anyhoo ... why are you certain Clark is gone?
None of this matters with Shaka back.
