Best of luck to him

Thank you, Sean. Good luck going forward.
Blerg. I knew it was coming, but still dont love it (however necessary). Rooting for you wherever you land, Sean.
"shocking"
An actual good luck to a kid who was a good baller, and had a horrible injury at the worst time. Takes a lot to come back from an acl tear, and unfortunately ruined his biggest assest.
Horrible luck, really curious what he would've been. Showed extreme promise his freshman year.
Oh, and when did he grow 2 inches?
Best of wishes for Sean. Hopefully he leaves as an MU grad in May.
Good luck, Sean. I'll always remember the game winning 3 against UCLA in Maui.
Thank you for the winning shot vs. UCLA in Maui which gets us the chance to beat #1 Kansas.
Best of Luck to you Sean.
Thanks to Sean for all he gave to our school and program. Hope he finds a great next spot.
eyeore's wrong again?

And with that, we've got no seniors on the roster for next year (eligibility-wise, anyway). It's an exciting time. I wish Sean and Tre the best and I hope that they find situations that work well for them, but I'm excited at the prospect of getting at least three transfers to fill some needs on this roster. Hopefully Shaka and his staff can land several guys who can have immediate impact.
We can't have the "50th Anniversary" be another bad season.

Exactly my first thought.
Good Luck wherever he ends up. Always played full bore whenever he was on the floor.
This was the most predictable of all of the potential transfers.
Best of luck to Sean. Hope he finds a good opportunity and stays healthy.
Sean
We share your disappointment that your time at Marquette wasn't what was expected. Best wishes for good health and future success.

"With confidence. Make sure to add 'with confidence'" in his postgame interview after that will always crack me up. Great kid, bummed it didn't work out.
He was so electric his freshman year, sucks injuries plagued what could have been a special career.
Will there be any more transfers? Perhaps Hamilton?
Good luck to Sean.
Panda wasn't wrong, just early.

Those were the two most obvious transfer, by far.
Ty, JTY. I will be rooting for you unless you play Marquette.

I mean I've got Caedin higher then tre.
You could see sean was going to transfer a long time ago.
In addition to hitting that enormous shot against UCLA, Sean was a difference-maker in the Illinois and Creighton games. Really sucks that he suffered that devastating injury.
Here's hoping that he gets fully healthy, and that he lands in a great spot for him.

shouldn't Sean thank MU? Full ride AND got paid.

He probably won't. He's no Hauser.

Was there for that Creighton game. He had 3 threes and totally shut down Steven Ashworth in the second half of that game.

How do you know he didn't?
No player is going to walk away from MU's compensation package? Shaka not going to adjust to the new structure of the NCAA? Shaka not going to craft compensation to players contribution? Shaka's personal relationships are more important than winning?
Just asking for a friend.
All the best to Sean. He seems like a great young g man. Had a tough run at MI. Wishing him the best always

Yeah, we had some real interesting takes here, even after Shaka said there would be philosophical changes to roster-building.
I get it, though. Folks were frustrated.

I 100% don't know if he did or not, '82. Thx.
You're welcome.

Even through most of this season, Shaka was preaching Relationships and Growth. Sure there was frustrations, but for me personally it was more "I'll believe it when I see it". If I believed everything Shaka said...Caedin would have been BE POTY.

I get it, and of course was having a little fun. I still believe Shaka is a big relationship guy and more so than most HCs, but there can be a healthy balance of seeking top performance in roster building and having honest relationships.

Oh, I don't take offense with people calling me out, I only took issue with "interesting takes". Thou maybe MU82 was ACTUALLY interested, lol.
what about Hamilton? He should have been first out the door.

I happen to believe that relationships and growth ARE important - and that those concepts and using the transfer portal are not mutually exclusive. I'm guessing that successful coaches who primarily build through recruiting HS players but also selectively use the portal to add good players - Hurley, Painter, Izzo, etc - would say they very much value relationships and growth.
I share your disappointment with Shaka's evaluations of players going into this season. He missed on far too many, and it was a huge reason we had a 20-loss slog. Although I'm usually a pretty skeptical guy, I felt Shaka earned the right to show he could fix his own mess, so I accepted his word that there would be philosophical changes.
Oh, and of course I'm always interested in your takes, rock!

SJ22, we bid you adieu.
Good luck with your new crew.
Hope your life's goals come true.

He also had a big stretch in our home win against UConn in 2023. Wish Sean the best. Hope he finishes his college career in a place where he can contribute and he has good health to allow him to.
