Good news!
Cool the major 3 are back, assuming the redshirts come back then that only leaves the mostly want him back in Owens and kind of want him back in Philips.
What a nice FANTASTIC feeling to not have to fret about losing our best players before we even finish the first game of March Madness Thursday. Love that we got out ahead of this as quickly as we did. Not sure if Phillips, Owens, Pearson, Miletic warrant public announcements of a return haha, but it's all gravy from here.
Now we can focus on bringing complementary pieces in and that alone.

I'd reverse that on Owens and Phillips, but neither would be at the top of the list for guys who should move elsewhere.

Phillips over Owens to me. Good thing I dont think we have to choose though.
Expected but good to get confirmation.
We really shouldn't take this kind of retention for granted in today's environment.

Yup. From Oso to TK to Kam to Chase to Nigel to Adrien to Royce ... Shaka has been just about perfect at retaining players he wanted to keep.

LFG!!!!
We will be back folks!

got the ones that matter. Now MU needs an aircraft carrier, a pogo stick, and the next Steph Curry.

The way these announcements are rolling out, it feels planned and coordinated with the university. I thank we get one every couple of days with basically everyone back.

I kinda doubt we get announcements from anyone else. Makes sense coming from starters that would have been highly sought after in the portal.

And by staff you mean "donors"

Lots of schools with big money donors lose guys to the portal every year.........so I'm sure he means the staff.
This is the high point of my day, replacing my previous High Point of my day!

Nope. Even though we all have gotten sick of RGV, relationships actually do matter.
Just look around college basketball. Big-money programs lose good players all the time.
But Shaka doesn't.
I know it's popular Scoop to rag on him for everything, but would it hurt that much to give him credit when he deserves it? All one had to do was listen to Nigel every time he talked - he kept saying was how much he loves Shaka.

That's great. It really is. Relationships are great. But victory...that can be elusive.

C'mon Rocky. Two out of three ain't bad!

Which big money programs lost good players where there was no coaching change or the player that entered the portal was replaced with a better player on the team he was leaving? I am sure the big money programs are retaining their good players as well.

Imagine the MLB contract you could get if you could consistently hit .667.

Do your own research, eeyore69. Also, I never said big money programs aren't retaining their good players. Also, very convenient how you're already applying asterisks in advance.

He is scoop's self-appointed scold and is simply doing his job. And his job is to question, challenge, bitch, and moan-not to look up answers to his own questions. Get with the program MU 82!
Cue his patented reply "Thanks for noticing me." ?-( ::)
Really good news. I expect Royce will be on an all Big East team at the end of next year. Nigel will as well. With the big three from this year's team locked up, the off-season is going as planned.
Now, on to part two of the plan, the portal, to accumulate more Big East level talent.

I mean, Kentucky starts two very good players it pilfered from fellow SEC programs - one from Oklahoma and another from Alabama. And that's just info I got watching today's game.
If eeyore69 really wants an answer to his question, he'd spend a few minutes googling and find dozens and dozens of good players who have transferred from one big program to another.

Why should he do that if he can get someone else to do it for him?

Shaka doesn't lose players, just games. Yeah Shaka!

You're missing Denzel Aberdeen, who left Florida after being part of the national championship team to join Kentucky.

Thanks, good example. I just threw the two Kentucky players out there as a quick example to eeyore69. There are tons of good players who have transferred from one P5 program to another. He just doesn't like to do even 4 seconds worth of googling before making a whiny statement or asking a silly question.
