For obvious reasons, we're looking forward to April to see what happens with the transfer portal. But an underrated element of the offseason is finding out who are non-conference opponents will be.
This season, in particular, is fascinating because we're coming off three different home-and-homes. So no Dayton, Purdue, and Maryland on the schedule. I'm excited to have a break from the Boilermakers and those Dayton losses were both damaging and frustrating.
It doesn't look like MU is interested in the MTE thing. But which one should they sign on for, if Shaka were so inclined? Battle 4 Atlantis still has some juice.
And which teams would be most beneficial for a home-and-home?
Here are my top 5:
Syracuse
Gonzaga
Iowa State
Nebraska
Vanderbilt
Neutral in Chicago: Illinois or Northwestern

Neutral in Chicago? You've lost your mind.
I think Iowa would be great.
Should be hard to turn down the Players Era if invited. The coverage dominated feast week and would be great exposure for our team. Main downside there is the non-con home slate would be brutal as a result. Imagine they'd probably add at least 2 more buy games (7 total) to buffer for the tough schedule in Vegas.
Hoping this season didn't do much damage for home and home deals in the near future. At the time of the game, we were a Q4 opponent for Purdue. That's simply not fair to them or what they signed up for.

I really like Painter and Purdue. But not so much that I think we need to apologize for being a Q4 opponent. ::)
I think an H&H with Gonzaga would be great.
Edit: Mileskishnish's mentioned the "Domers". An H&H or Chicago game?
Just avoid playing at St. Thomas. Lockdown currently in effect - possible guy with a gun. #PrayForTheTommies
No real preference but I wouldn't mind Louisville only because that was a fun rivalry. There were some crazy games in there.
I liked it when we used to always play the Domers.

Hey, with any luck we could be a Q2 win by the end of the season! A guy can dream, right??
And actually, I used to be so annoyed at how often we played Purdue in the last decade... now I'm coming to enjoy the budding friendly rivalry. Kinda hope it continues, even if not every year.
I've always said that I'd like a home and home series with UMass. Having a game a 15 minute drive from my house would be wonderful!

Ha! I finally gave up arguing here that VCU should be in the BE so I can see not only a Marquette/VCU game but also 9 other BE games. And all would be day trips.
I am curious on how many Major D1 schools would pay us to play them next season.
Whatever buy games we wont lose.

An SEC home and home would be fun.

So long as nobody got concussed in the prior Big East Tournament.

MU has done that, twice, and I could see it being a "we're too virtuous for that tournament."

So, they were right to be skeptical. Plus I remember hearing there was some language in the contract players had to sign that was pretty weird. Not to mention, you could go undefeated and not even get the chance to play for the extra money because of the format.
Renew the Home and Home with Dayton to watch Scoop's head explode.

Maybe we could get a win against them if we do that.

You obviously did not think this through before posting. Fieldhouse Flyer would camp out here, taking
entire pages for his Christmas colored statistics which no one here gives a rat's ass about.

Proof that Rothstein is reading Scoop.
Wow. Huge get.
Hopefully MU has a "massive transformation" before next season.

I think Michigan loses a few key pieces this year.

Between players out of eligibility or expected to leave early for the NBA and one who will be redshirting after a recent ACL injury, Michigan will only have 2 players from their 9 man rotation returning next year.

Where he got 90% of the facts wrong.
There sometimes is some truth to what he posts, he definitely has some kind of connection inside the program, but its usually exaggerated or missing some info. There's no fact checking at all so can't take it too seriously, it's still a troll account for the most part.
