Title: Seton Hall
Post by: tower912 on January 28, 2026, 07:23:26 AM
Arrrrr you ready?
Development isn't a straight line. It'scurvy, dog.
Aye feel like there is avast number of things that can go wrong on the road.

Seriously, a conference road win is the next step in the team's growth and development.  It would be a booty-ful thing.

Would love to give the Hall a bad loss that knocks them out of tourney consideration.

Don't like that team or fanbase.

Time for those scallywags to walk the plank.

Keep them off the line and don't let them get a million offensive rebounds and we're all good. Way easier said than done, though.

A promising example for MU? Payne... Jacksonville (and Incarnate Word) transfer. Just a monster on the boards who can block shots. Gets to the line an eff-ton (can't shoot there, but #FTsNoMatta). PS - bruh fouls a ton.. let's hope for some early foul trouble - Shaheen's an auto-bench 2 fouls in first half guy too.

I say use Hamilton as the sacrificial lamb to draw some fouls as penance for all the quick, stupid ones he has racked up this season.  I'm sure Marquette provides excellent health insurance in case Hamilton has to be scraped off the floor after drawing a charge.

I go to one away game every year and this game is this year's adventure.

Tickets were dirt cheap 6 weeks ago when I bought them, haven't looked lately.

Difficult to believe Marquette is 1 of 2 teams in the NET Top 236 without a road or neutral win. But let's get those shakes and Beat the Pirates.

Generally agree, but I like Sha a fair bit.

Seton Hall was impressive last night. Down by as much as 13 in the 1st half and then mowed Xavier down in the 2nd half and won by 18. Wow!

I think Marquette is going to need a rerun of the Creighton game to win this one. Let's kick some Pirate booty.

I can't imagine Seton Hall ever playing as soft and tentative as Creighton did. Not saying that we don't stand a chance---but I would be shocked if Seton Hall winds up with only 4 FT attempts for the game.

Fair point. SH broke their 4 game losing streak and are going to feel invincible. Xavier never recovered in the 2nd half. They look dazed.

Not just Nigel but also Parham, Stevens, and a refurbished Ross among others know that they can win and their confidence needs to travel with them on Saturday. I expect a hell of a fight. I hope our guys can finally get two in a row vs. major conference teams and our first road win. If not, make SH earn the W.

Avast learning and growth opportunity for Josh and Caedin.  Going to need to match Seton Hall's physicality.

When that translates to Victory on the court I'll concede they are learning and growing and not just playing better at practice.

Yeah, after missing some open 3s, Creighton curled up in the fetal position. It was weird to see, and McDermott was visibly displeased on several occasions.

Seton Hall might not play well - partly because every robbin' Pirate will be wearing an eyepatch - but they won't just curl up and die like Creighton did.

McDermott was right to be pissed. We were a bad loss for them.

"No politics" Scoop shut down the board to 'support' anti-ice movements. Insane and bizarre.

Not wanting citizens murdered has nothing to do with politics and is certainly not insane or bizarre. Bizarre is defending what they are doing.

No Shakes! Again we are only 1 of 2 teams in the Top 241 NET Rankings without a neutral or road Win! Ugh!
