Exactly. It's one thing to get killed in the tournament after a decent year and rebuild. A fluke run with this trash with what I think we all knew was always going to be a big rebuild would suck.

We're gonna go 0-20 (update: 1-19). Shaka can't coach. Nobody can make a shot. We don't play intelligently. We have very little talent. We're total garbage.

But I'm worried we'll win the Big East Tournament.

I have no illusions about MU winning the BE tourny and much less expect that if they did they could make a run in the NCAA's.  All I am suggesting,contray to what seems the group think around here, is that this team has talent and if in the next 10 or 12 games can come together as a team they would be fun to watch.  Rosss and James had the best game together this year.  Parham had a nice game and Hamilton made what I think was a hook shot.  The freshmen and sophomores on this team are learning to play together which in the larger view was I think the goal for the season.  There is absolutly no reason to think that next season's edition of the team  won't be 15 games better.  James is a stud.  Stevens and Philoips are studs in the making.  Next year the the eagles soar and play like warriors.

MU has a Good class coming in next year and I expect that Smart will pick up a senior or graduate center to solidify the post.  Smart has used the portal before.  I think his issue is with agents not the portal per se.  I'm not a big Shaka fan in so far as I don't like the offense he favors but there really can't be any doubt that he can coach.  There are no graounds to think that the MU program is in a slide into a basketball abyss.  Relax and try to enjoy the becoming of the next good run for MU.
