DeAndre as of the 2023 Marquette 990 tax filing was making $420,486.After his recent suspension will he be gone after the season?I was wondering what players he was the lead recruiter on and who might leave with him.
People don't usually stay after a suspension.
Folks making that kind of money don't get "suspended." In the old days, it was reserved for serious breaches of NCAA rules such as giving out free t-shirts or sending text messages. This story has some legs.
I suspect the suspension is much ado about nothing. That said, I'll be surprised if there are not some significant staff changes after the season.

Boy I'll be pissed if they really try to blame this all on the assistants

Oh, I would be very surprised if there are
not major changes, possibly 100%.
Where is the link/story stating he was suspended? All I saw was that he was not at games due to "team matters".
It's " much ado about nothing " ?
Yah. Right. ::) Assistant coaches get suspended in the middle of the season all the time.
In reality, it's just another demonstration of what a train wreck this season has been. I wish they could just throw in the towel on the season and be done today.

That would be shocking and disappointing, but that doesn't mean some of the issues are not assistants, along with players. Shaka would not be doing his job if he doesn't review and improve all areas that are failing.

You can.
Something went on,we just don't know what.
And Tower ... you can sit and act like it's just fine that Shaka has put this product on the floor.
He was coaching the guards so well
Relationships so far Bad
Growth so far Bad
Victory so far Bad
We might have to come up with a new slogan lol
But bounce back turn it around and win
Creighton turned it around the last 2 weeks
Marquette can turn it around in 2 weeks

Assistant coaches (and head coaches) actually do get suspended in the middle of the season all the time.
I'm not saying this isn't a big deal, though.
Some end up leaving Marquette to take the Virginia Tech job, like Scott Monarch.

Still say we missed a golden opportunity with a welcome back Buzz graphic when Maryland came with a picture of Scott Monarch.
