Josh. Great minutes today. Bright spot of the day--there are lumps, but things are clicking for him

He is not strong with the ball. Yet. But he is very long and bouncy.

he's going to be a garbage man in the paint getting a bunch of put backs. Give him a chance, Shaka!
Parham hit a 3 and made two free throws in real garbage time to make the game look more respectable than it was.
We don't usually make three pointers nor free throws, so I thought that was impressive.

13 minutes today. And he was productive. Patience is still a virtue.
What I want to see out of him, and what I think could make a significant positive impact, is to play with his hands up on both ends. By virtue of being 7'1 with long arms, making himself as big as possible on defense will lead to blocks, deflections, and bad passes to avoid the deflections.
Offensively, hands up to receive the pass up high and not down low where the little guys with strong hands can strip the ball.

Agree big News Newsdreams no pun intended Marquette beat the spread. But I will go with Josh for SOTG.
Honorable Mention Nigel
Hamilton. 4 fouls in 3 minutes kept him off the court. Biggest positive today
No stud when we lose.
The rules are the rules.

After an announcer said that Clark is built like a blade of grass, I told my buddies that he's looked to me like a baby giraffe.

There's no way the line opened at 12.5. We opened +18.5 at Purdue, and before the games this weekend Uconn and Purdue's Net rating on Kenpom were about 2 points apart.
edit: confirmed the opening spread was 18.5

Interesting - so which site posted the initial line a week before the game ?
I read that Uconn was the first game MU covered since the Oklahoma loss on Black Friday.

Depending on the site you look at, you'll find that some sources have Oklahoma covering that game. So if you go off that, UConn was the first high major game in which MU covered, and MU's record against the spread in games vs power conference foes is now 1-8.

Are you looking at ESPN? That is not the real spread. No real spread is done so far in advance, injuries happen during practice....
