What's possibly the vision for him as a player? He's short, can't shoot, and now he can't meaningfully penetrate at all OR make decent decisions. When's the last time he successfully got to the rim? The only surprising thing about that half is that we actually looked like a competent team for about 5 minutes of it.
Brutal stretch, NJ is playing with aggression, several missed layups and threes, have to keep the energy up, keep driving, get back on D. I think we get it back within a few then run out of gas.

Josh Clark had a nice impact in his minutes. Altered some shots and prevented others. His length alone offers more than Hamilton.

Going back, this was a massive problem. Could easily have been up 15-0 if it wasn't for embarrassingly bad passes/turnovers.
Then, a few plays where players got out of position/lost focus defensively and the wheels fell off.
Luck to be where we are at right now score wise.
Once Nigel figures out where to kick, or has guys to kick to, we could be in serious business.

It's so bad. Royce looks worse. Tre and Sean have always looked horrible. Gold has gone nowhere and still can't even pretend to have any ability to create his own shot. Chase actually looked like he developed an ability to rise and fire over defenders early this year, but has been completely incapable of doing this against real teams. We have one guy who can flick his wrist in a way that looks good (Phillips) and that's probably just because the sample has been tiny and relatively very easy.
Had enough. There is no silver lining and no reason to watch this team anymore. Maybe we'll keep the final margin under 30? Yippee

Totally agree. They need to try and find a way to keep Nigel with Adrien and totally revamp this roster. Next year will be a repeat of this.
Guys are too young, too scared, too lacking of talent.
They need older guys to help this program out.
Hamilton leads the league in giving up uncontested layups and not getting loose balls or rebounds in his area and having the ball stop when it gets to him. It is not Caedin's Fault but sheesh

From a coaching perspective, it's hard to view this as anything but failure. I get that a coach can't make shots, but there's no excuse for MU to suck this badly on D. These guys are experienced in the system. They're just awful.

Add 5 real transfers next year, hold onto the freshmen, and we'll be a real team next year. And it'll be awesome.
Anything short of adding 3-4 transfers, and kicking 2+ dead weight players off the roster, is suicide. It's that simple. We have the money, the recent success, the proven player development, even Shaka's ability to bring in high-level transfers a couple years ago. But if he refuses, he is lost.
