This years team can't do anything well.
Very unfortunate.
Can't shoot from 3.
Cant shoot from 2.
Don't shoot from the midrange.
Can't shoot from 1.
Cannot defend.
Personally, I've already moved on from the anger phase to the complete shock phase.
Never expected it.
I'll still watch, and I will try to not make these types of disparaging posts too often.
All you can do is hope for in season individual improvement on both ends, and hope the fanbase doesn't turn on the players and coaches on a personal level.
Don't forget our coaching staff in this equation.
They've been every bit as bad as the players.
We can't do anything against a zone. We just dribble and throw a wild kick out. We just look confused on everything.
Also, Shaka didn't take a timeout until the 4 minute mark in the second half. I'm not sure if he took one in the first half, but there definitely seemed to be some opportunities to settle the guys down.
Just disappointing to have the bottom fall out, and nothing to really hang your hat on. I'm trying to keep in mind we've had a lot of success with Shaka, but the landscape was a lot different building that team.

Yes
I'd hate to do this because these men have poured their entire lives into these careers and have families to feed, and many will consider it a cop out, but I really think that Shaka needs to re-assess his crop of assistants.
That in no way means he isn't mostly at fault. The buck stops with him.
All I'm saying is that in his model, when you get something like this, you've let yourself down and been let down on multiple fronts.
Heavy introspection needed

We're on the same page Dr.V. I'm beyond shocked and depressed.
It kind of makes you appreciate just how good Kam Jones, Stevie Mitchell, and David Joplin were to hide the shortcomings of the supporting cast.
Jones was an A+ level offensive player and Stevie was an A+ level defensive player. Joplin was sneaky good defensively and when he was on a hot streak from 3 could really juice the offense.
I thought some of the younger forwards had the potential to be better than Joplin but none has lived up to that potential.
Nobody is anywhere close to providing the different skills that Mitchell and Jones offered.
I do think the freshmen do have potential, let's hope they turn that potential into reality by season's end.

The thought occurred to me tonight that some of the staff might be pondering to leave this hot mess before they get tarnished by the program
