Poll
Question:
If we finish last, should Shaka give back some of his salary to fund a boost in rev share to grab some portal studs?
Option 1: Yes. Yes he should. Or else fire him.
votes: 7
Option 2: It would certainly be nice and make me feel better about my donating to MU.
votes: 19
Option 3: No, Shaka earns every red cent. What are we, communists?
votes: 12
Option 4: No, that's crazy talk. Nothing like this has ever happened anywhere. Preposterous!
votes: 31
Option 5: Arbys
votes: 23
Despite JB, this is a thing that happens. A million back could go a long way to grabbing some studs in the portal so we don't suck next year. Relationships Shaka, join us in the giving and be the difference.

In a mostly peaceful protest?
This season really has scoop jumping the shark
A poll tax for onesie?
Thinking about starting a poll to vote on if this is the dumbest poll 1SE has ever created.
Leaning yes.
Rocky and MU82 love polls. Keep them coming!
Every poll I make is for MU82.
But in all seriousness, coaches have done this. Would be a lot more meaningful than a mea culpa at a presser (not that we even get that). What says R more than putting your money where your mouth is? Could also solve the 'buy out' problem if we're asking guys to leave - lets Shaka honor his finacial commitment to Tre and Caedin but also opens up the roster spots he needs. It would make next years team better.
And from Shakas purely self interested perspective it makes sense too - if he sh*ts the bed again next year he's gone - and looking at a prestige and pay cut at his next spot. But if he turns it around, he's looking at another contract extension - pays for itself!
WWGD
(what would Gard do)
FFS.....not another inane poll.
Id at least like my Scoop annual membership fee covered by Shaka.

At least SE1 didn't tell us all to avoid Apple stock about 2,000% ago.

At this point, Shaka personally putting up a mil to spend in the portal might be the only thing that could save him.
Honestly... this would be a legit position from MU ...
" Shaka , give back a MIL, and hit the portal hard " or take a hike.
Anyone here think that's realistic at any level ?

No
I think we'd ensure Wardle would be our best applicant.

Ironicly, Jaquon Johnson would be the best guard on this Marquette team.
Which is hilarious, because marquette could have scouted him by just attending Haynes' son's games.
Here are the Shaka choices at the end of the year:
1. adapt to the realities of college basketball,
2. take an assistant job in the NBA, or
3. go into media.
After this season, his prospects of coaching major college basketball elsewhere are over.
Well said.

He has a contract that would pay him handsomely if Marquette fired him for that reason.
Where were the staff who witnessed this myopic vision of Hamilton. Don't they have any input or influence on decisions?

And this right here is why this website exists.

Even dumber since you keep bringing it up.
Just sayin' Shaka, an extra 500k would sure help you bring in the portal big you need.

Every time you bump this it reminds everyone of your stupidity. You might want to let this thread get buried.
