DICK CHENEY DEAD
Who will play old man Potter in the civic theater production of It's a Wonderful Life?
RIP.
Who cares? I wanted him dead a long time ago.
he was always dead inside.
I mentally apologized to him over the last few years. I was never a fan, but I learned there were people worse than him and he spoke out against them.

I have a hard time forgiving a guy who was more than willing to kill women & children for political gain.
RIP RINO

My problem with him wasn't that. My problem was him accepting his lesbian daughter. There's no room for that in a Christian nation

Don't get me wrong, I disliked the same things that you do. I just found a couple small areas of agreement. So, I made the choice to forgive what I could.
Liz Cheney eventually became an American hero. And even Dick Cheney eventually saw the light after a lifetime in deep darkness.
So for those two things (and those two alone), I give DC permission to rest in peace.

Well, I guess I give him and Liz credit for being the only Rs to attend the one year anniversary of Jan. But, forgiveness? That's harder.
UW-Madison alum.
Too bad Lennys isn't here to tell us all about it in April.

Did Luke Fickell kill Cheney?
I can finally feel safe quail hunting again.
Vaxxed?
When I was in Seattle there was a coffee stand downtown who were Democratic Party supporters, and had a chalkboard where they would write stuff. One day, it said (numbers may not be accurate), "favorability poll numbers: Dick Cheney, 9%, Satan 12%. Congratulations, Dick!
MU82, it was called "Monorail Espresso" on Pike, it's probably still around.

He bagged an attorney....so there's
that.
Wow, I can't believe Joe Lieberman's VP opposition in the 2000 election died.

I don't know why I was thinking about this, this morning also.
That was the weirdest debate I ever remember in politics. Both were sitting behind desks where they agreed "they were friends and chose to have a civil relaxed debate."

At least he can party with the other war criminals in Hell. He and Kissinger can try to one up each other with their "war stories".

Not a coffee guy, so I don't know. But next time I'm down there, I'll check it out (if I remember).

The unfortunate thing is that James Stockdale lived an amazing and accomplished life, and was a legit American hero, but this is how most people know/remember him.
Tip of the spear for an admin that endorsed the use of torture.
No forgiveness.

Actually what they remember was the SNL parody of this which makes him seem way more unhinged than he actually was. Because he was nowhere near as nutty as I thought he was when I watched this clip.
If he was serious in thinking Trump was an existential threat he would have taken him quail hunting

Say what you will about Miller today, in 1994 he nailed it (1:07 mark talking about Stockdale).

We don't need to rehabilitate Dick Cheney of all people.
The fact that we found current leaders I'd rather join Donald Rumsfeld in hell does not mean we need to whitewash Cheney.
Cheney, Rumsfeld and Bremer have a lot of splaining to do at the pearly gates. About half a million people died due to their actions.

It's not all bad, he gave the country a conveniently misrepresented role model/mascot for children instructed to emulate without questioning. Even if that guy would be vomiting in disgust at the cynical co-opting of his death against all his known beliefs.
FFS Not everything is about Jesus, Christian Americans. I was trying to say RIP Pat Tillman.

Pat Tillman would have been 49 today if we had just perfected shell defenses earlier
