Title: Chris Farley Biopic
Post by: MU Fan in Connecticut on October 23, 2025, 05:58:48 PM
I did not see this news previously.  They are making a Chris Farley biopic with Paul Walter Hauser.  Based on the book Chris's brother wrote.

Id be ambivalent, but Hauser is a fantastic casting.  He's an incredible actor, has comedic chops, and will be fanatical about getting it right.  He's also my choice if they ever get around to making a Confederacy of Dunces now that many of the original casting ideas have aged out.

Paul Walter Hauser (PWH) has generational family ties to Milwaukee.

PWH's Grandfather was pastor at a Lutheran Church on Capitol/81st for decades, home of NW grade school.

I went to high school with PWH's dad at MLHS @97th/Grantosa.  PWH's dad, Paul Hauser, was not a natural comedian but my god he loved to laugh; he was a perfect audience, laughing at even the dumbest of our jokes. Dad played on the MLHS varsity baseball, really good guy. His Dad followed in grandpa's footsteps and has served as a pastor (mostly in Michigan, if memory serves) for many decades, through today.
I guess PWH likely was born and raised in Michigan, but I think he went to Concordia Chicago and got his start in the Chitown comedy scene.

PWH Definitely came from a fine family.  I am very happy for Paul (dad) being able to see his son's success
