A new addition to the KenPom formula this year. Shaka checks in at 14.

Nice. Guaranteed top-4 seed!
Great - another Kenpom bias for Wisconsin
Clearly Greg Gard is off the charts.
No love for Izzo.
New pomeroy rankings out for 2025
Plenty of room for Shaka to overachieve his preseason ranking again

Scrimmage win over Mizzou seems to have been ignored. Unacceptable.

I have no problem us being 47.....I have big problem Providence being 48.....
That's a joke.....

I think it's about right for Providence. While I have questions about Kim, they have a solid roster. No excuses in Friartown this year.

If we can't outgap Providence, why field a team?!?
Seriously, I'm curious to why Burger feels that way. He could be right but I kind of like to know how he got to that conclusion. I admit, I haven't given Providence much thought as we near the season, so some thoughts on them would be interesting since I don't google
Brew will provide.

Unless they are to the New York Post of course.
I have no problem seeing MU at 47. Evrythinh I see is pretty well in line with realistic expectations. U Conn St. John and Creighton as BE 1-3 MU Nova and Providence aasthe next 3. ESPN has MU as a 10 seed. I think it is a good place to begin. Play some games and see how it shakes out.

I think we will overachieve and Creighton will underachieve ... but I acknowledge that bias and hope might be going into that thinking a little bit!

Creighton will be interesting to watch. Without Kalk in the middle, I'm thinking they revert to Creighton defense of old which was pedestrian at best. No doubt the offense will have an opportunity to be quite good, but I won't be surprised if they end up being the most overrated team to start the season from the Big East
The key is to win the games against the teams you are better than. Given that, if MU goes 0-6 vs the top three and 2-2 against the teams around them (Nova and Providence) and sweep the bottome 5 thats 12-8. I'd take that at the strt of the season. The qustion is what team(s) above them do they beat and what if any teams bellow them do they lose to? Creighton at home seems doable and It would not entirely surprise me if MU beats St.Johns or U Conn at home. Must be careful with the bottom 5 could be a lose down there spmeplace.
