Am I supposed to know who this is?

Some people really love guys who talk sports (my assumption here since I have no clue who he is either) all day long.

Sounds like I am missing out on some really in-depth, well thought out conversations.

As I'm sure you're aware, much like political radio, it's all designed to be adversarial and push outrage and/or controversy to retain listeners. Real red meat stuff.

Or what the ringer is?

Oh I know. That's why I never really listen to that stuff.

Thanks. I thought I was the only one.
Don't know who he is, don't care.
He was Scott Van Pelt's radio cohost for a long time, which is where he got his name and credibility boost. I get that not everyone is a sports radio or podcast consumer, but he's far from a fringe/niche nobody.
Not that I'm some huge fan (I have never really consumed Ringer content), I do find it amusing that there is a chorus of "who is this guy who cares" here when there has been tons of chatter about Dan Bernstein who is a far less known and less relevant radio/podcast voice by anyone outside of Chicagoland.

You realize where a lot of Marquette alumni live and/or are from right?

Good news I hope!

Yea but none of the non-Chicago centric people are posting about "who is this dude, who cares", that's my point.

This is the least surprising news I've seen all day

Bernstein talk is in the subject "Chicago Sports Radio" so it pretty much implies who he is and the context for the discussion.
While this subject is "Hold your loved ones close tonight," which implies something a little more grand than a bit figure leaving a radio show.

I lived in Chicago for 16 years, so I know who Bernstein is. Otherwise, I don't care about him, either.
Also, this ...

To be fair to myself, I had no clue who Bernstein was either.
