If Jeff Goodman gained one brain cell, it'd be very lonely.

Reminds me of my new favorite insult I heard not long ago:

"I'm not saying Jeff Goodman is the dumbest person in the world, but I am saying that Goodman better hope that the dumbest person in the world doesn't die."

How hard is it for Dauster to know that Oso was a 4 star recruit? I mean he is a pretty bright guy when it comes to college basketball.

If you're going to bring him up to make a point at least have your facts straight.

They really like Nigel and Sheek. Both seem to be coups in their eyes.

What did he say? I'd have no issue with someone saying he was NOT a 4-star recruit. What does that even mean? I'm sure on some 'services' he was noted as a 4-star guy and on others he was not.. but I think from a RSCI perspective.. there was one outlier (70), one just barely in the top 100, and he was shooting blanks on the rest.

Depends on your definition of 4-star I think.. but again, zero issue with someone saying he was not a 4-star recruit.

He said they turned him from a " zero star recruit into an NBA player"

When an analyst refers to a player as a 3 star, 4 star or 5 star player you know very well that they are referring to the major scouting site evaluations........247 ....which is the site that most of them use for reference had him as a 4 star............

He was basically saying that Oso was a nobody when he was recruited..........which we all know wasn't true.

Pretty sure the crystal ball had him going to Marquette, too.

I also hate the cop out on actually grading our offseason. As though somehow retaining players doesn't matter. I've heard pundits say "they got X, Y, & Z back while also bringing in these guys." The former is usually more important than the latter.

They'll respect the Shaka/Marquette way more as the years go by and MU has made the tournament continually and there are a few elite eights and Final Fours sprinkled in.  Until then, expect to be disrespected.

This was pretty dang respectful of Shaka and Shaka's way of doing things.

I agree with this. I thought the entire thing was fair to the team and complimentary to the Shaka way; TO clearly loves him. We can quibble about the Oso comment but that is the fairest assessment you can get. Glad Goodman wasn't on it.

The one guy gave us a B+ and the other a "thumbs-up."
