MU might win it outright if the BE deducts one of our losses when we have the biggest crowd ever to attend a bball game in the state of WI on Saturday.

Quick, somebody go to the UL boards and tell them there getting a TON on respect from MU fans right now.  There's always a first for everything.

Am I the only one surprised by the results of this poll?  I know Louisville is gooed, but they received the first 40 votes.  Does this reflect how good people on this board think Louisville is or our confidence in beating Georgetown on Saturday?

I think Louisville is pretty easily the best team in the conference - right now anyway. I have though Georgetown was just a touch overrated most of the year. Independent of what the records say, I think the best teams in the conference are as follows...

1. Louisville
2. Georgetown
3. MU
4. ND
5. UConn

I reserve the right to change those at any time however, and I'm still not sure about UConn, I could easily put them in any one of the spots above, except the top one.

What kind of seed do u think the winner of the BE gets?  If LOU beats Gtown again, and then goes on to win the BET, could they be a 2 seed?

If Louisville did that, they would easily be a 2 seed, and I'm not sure they wouldn't have a shot at a number 1, depending on what happens with the other top teams. They'd likely be Top 7 or 8 RPI, Top 4 SOS, winners of 13 straight games, including 5-0 on the road 3-0 Neutral Court. The committee for the most part seeds the team that will be playing in the tournament. The Louisville team playing now is not the same team that lost 4-5 games prior to January 1st, and they do take injuries into consideration.

what I hate about college basketball is this...

I agree,North Carolina is a good team, but there is no way they should be ranked higher then Memphis, or be #1 in the country for that matter, they have played no one...

http://sports.espn.go.com/ncb/teams/schedule?teamId=153

there is Carolina, here comes Memphis

http://sports.espn.go.com/ncb/teams/schedule?teamId=235

with wins over USC, Georgetown, Arizona, UCONN, and Gonzaga.... compared to UNC's wins over Clemson and Kentucky.... and with 1 more loss, thats garbage...

True, but what I love about college basketball is there will be a tournament so it can be decided on the court.

Exactly. This isn't the BCS.
